The red LED indicating that the heads should be replaced or checked still flashes for 30 seconds every time the razor is turned on. It has been 3 months after I replaced the heads. Is there a way to reset this so I can see the battery condition without waiting half a minute? Other than this, the razor, now 2 years old, works great.
This is the solution I recieved from tech support from norelco. Here is the conversation: I do not know if that makes any sense or not but will wait and see how it goes.
andy soni: the 3 blades icon keep coming on
Charlie : Sorry for the delay in my response, as I was facing some technical difficulty.
andy soni: I replaced the blades
Charlie : I would like to inform you that though even you have replaced the new heads the indicator stay remain till 2 weeks.
Charlie : The replacement head indicator will remain visible for 2 weeks to remind you that with new shaving heads you will guarantee yourself optimal shaving performance.
Charlie : After 1 week the beeps are audible for 5 seconds. After 2 weeks the beeps are audible for 10 seconds. After 2 weeks it automatically disappears.
andy soni: the head does not flash or anything is that normal it just stays lit
Charlie : Yes, Andy. And it will disappear after 2 to 3 recharge cycles.

SOURCE: The razor head comes loose from the two arms.
The one piece motor drive which also contains the shaver head in the Braun wear out. They can be replaced by yourself or a shaver tech. A good place for parts, http://shaveroutlet.com/.
To disassemble the 7000 Series Braun shaver.
Disassembly of the 7000 Braun shaver is basically the same as the 8000 series Braun shaver listed below. The 7000 is actually easier to disassemble as the plastic is much thicker and the bottom socket cover pops right off as there are less tabs and they are bigger.
To disassemble the 8000 Braun Series shaver.
Remove the plastic cover on the bottom that covers the corded socket. Be careful, there are a total of two tabs on the short sides and four very small tabs on the long sides. I usedmy fingernail to create a space big enough to insert the corner of a credit card in the center of the long side opposite the blue light indicator, then gently removed the cover. Using a screwdriver could damage the plastic.
The two sides then pop off, they only fit on their respective side when replacing. Don't lose the two small black seals on the top of each side piece.
There are a total of four screws holding the body together. Remove the screws, using the proper flat blade or torx screwdriver. The shaver will then split into. You can then remove the the Motor Drive Unit and the separate circuit board with the batteries.
This would also be a good time to clean the goo buildup from around the shaver head.
Assembly is the reverse of above. The Motor Unit will only fit in one way, there is a flat side and a angular side. Be sure the pin for the trimmer is placed in its proper hole, or it won't extend.

SOURCE: need a spring for the razor head on norelco 7775x
I found a spring from inside a disposable pen and cut it down to size and put it in there. Before I did that I glued the release button in the forward position with light duty glue.

SOURCE: Norelco Spectra 8 Model 8894XL: Need a new Razor Head Assembly
It sounds like you need a new "head holder". These often wear out over time and fall apart. You will find a replacement at shaveroutlet.com. See link below.

same problem here
I also have been having this problem. I additionally cleaned the razor very well.
I have the same problem, my shaver is about 2 and a half years old, any fix.
Thanks for passing along the comments from Norelco. That's essentially what they told me, too. It would be nice if it worked that way. My red light is still flashing after 8 months...
