Thre is a white eraser like thing where you put the disc in and there is a groove in it and that lets it spin so try cutting out another groove it might not work but it did for me and i am not responsible if it breaks proede at your own risk

Slim PS2, disc not spinning

Well if there is nothing with the lens, i am afraid you're ps2's are garbage now. Your best choice is to sell it to some one, or throw it away.

On switch button turns green and immediatley turns off again. My disc in the beggining stoped spinning eventhough i can here it trying to spin

Can you hear the fan spinning on the inside of the PS2? If the PS2 comes on, loads the disc, then shuts itself off, chances are it is overheating and shuts off to prevent damage. There is a small fan on the inside of the Slim PS2 that keeps it cool.

If you press the reset switch and it goes from red to green and immediately back to red without ever turning on, your motherboard is shot. ESD damage.

When after powering up and I had press enter, it would say CAN NOT READ DISC.

There are THREE reasons that a Slim PS2 will not read discs. I will start from most common and end at the least common (almost rare) problem.

1. A bad laser. Lasers labor on Playstation 2 [and all other video game] consoles. They eventually fail, especially if you use your PS2 as a DVD player. You can find Slim PS2 lasers at the following website. They are pretty simple to replace:

http://store.richspsxparts.com/v12laser.html

2. There are two "lid closed" sensors on the Slim Playstation 2. They let the PS2 know that the lid is shut and it should scan for a disc. Sometimes one or both of these sensors can become broken. It doesn't really happen by itself... usually if someone drops the console, one or both of the sensors can break or become dislodged.

3. A Bad Motherboard: This is rare. We mostly see this if someone installed a mod chip into the system and it eventually fails.

Click into the following website for Do It Yourself troubleshooting to determine why your PS2's discs aren't spinning, and how to fix it.

My ps2 silm not working.

My PS2 slim wont spin a disc unless I put pressure on the top of it. As a temporary fix I place a 10 pound ******** on top of it while the PS2 is in the horizontal position.

Ps2 slim spindle dont spin

If your spindle has stopped spinning, it will most likely be 1 of 2 problems. Either your spindle motor has burnt up, or even though it is very unlike, a lead wire that supplies the power to the spindle has became disconnected. Now, if the case it the burnt up spindle motor, there are hundreds of motors for every kind of PS on, of course, E-Bay. If the problem is for some reason, a soldered wire has broken from the motor. It is very simple to re-attach the lead with a quick touch from a soldering iron. I hope this has helped.
