My freezer and refrigerater will not get cold

with refrigerators 0 is bead cold and 1up get warmer with each number 3 or4 is a good numbers
freezers work opposite 0 is cold 10 is around 30 c below

you may have ice buildup in the evaporator ... i would take everything out (put food in insulated picnic baskets or someone elses refrigerater) .. then turn it off or unplug it over night with all doors open ... put down towels to catch any melting ice water .. empty ice tray ... the next day turn it back on and see if it doesnt cool properly ..it will take a few hours to stabilize ..

the problem likely was caused by a door being a little open for a long time ... that lets lots of moisture in which may freeze and accumulate on the evaporator .. the system cant recover from that unless you completely defrost it as above ... you might want to clean underneath it while you have it out of service .. vacuum/clean the coils and fan

Thank you for your help!! I was able to repair my refrigerater thanks to someone who had previously had the sam problem and was given three things to check. The problem was the heater in the freezer was burn out.

When a unit freezes in the lower drawers this is usually due to a thermistor which is not functioning properly. If you can provide your model number I can try to locate your schematic to your unit showing the thermistor that you would replace to alleviate this issue. I will await your reply as to the complete model number of your unit.
p.s if you had ice up the top of the unit as well then you would look at the damper door otherwise known as the diffuser door in some units or the control for the door as the problem area in your unit.
