Question about HP Photosmart E217 Digital Camera

No screen my camers has a black screen and when i take a picture ni picture appears. ive changed the batteries three times and still no screen...but when i turn it on the hp screen shows up so i know the screen works. help...

This is an internal failure and the camera has dies. HP support will advise- depending on age of camera whether they replace it or you buy another

If those batteries are definitely good then the electronics of unit have gone haywire. Contact Olympus to see if there is some sort of hidden code to reset electronics to factory defaults.

I can not take picture becuase the back camere wont open it is my picture that will appeare in the screen

Change your back cover then the problem can be solved.

I went to take a picture and my camera went black. I changed the batteries and nothing help. What do you suggest

the recommended battery that you can used on your camera is AA alkaline and also you may try 2AA Ni-MH. if you using a newly purchased the battery and you have a black screen, try to press menu if the options will not show up it means the LCD is defective., make sure that the lens is properly working and no cover on the lens of your camera., if still has black screen call kodak toll free 1 800 235 6325 your camera needs of service

Clicking noise it's because your batteries are not very powerfull!
Normal batteries it's not working for me!
After i replace standard alkalines with rechargeable NiMH batteries Sony 2700 Ni-MH or Varta 2700 Ni-MH it's was working!

Batteries replaced but still says change them

hi,
I had the same problem; check carefully the yellow note from the camera box which says : use ONLY alkaline or rechargeable NI-Metal or oxyride batteries - DO NOT USE Ni-Cd nor lithium nor nickel nor manganese batteries. try that and pls let me know if it helped or if any other solution worked.

Advent mp 82 camer says replace battery even when new batteries are used

my camera worked, and as i was playing with the menues i changed the batter setting from alkaline to nimh, or the other way round now when i put in ni mh battteries fully charged, it say low battery, gotta try high power alakline now and hope it works

Try going to that input and changing ntsc/pal or make sure your closed captions are off.

Picture takes hours to appear

Spounds like the b+ feed filter capacitor off the flyback that supplys voltage to the three drive transistors on the crt board is bad.
