Re:
This is a computer error.
Check images are there in the camera by looking at the review screen.
Then check you have not 'locked' the stick or 'protected' images
turn off the protected then try

I HAVE A SONY WEBBIE HD 5.0 MEGA PIXELS AND IT SAID MY CARD WAS FULL SO i PLUGED IT INTO THE COMPUTER AND IT GAVE ME SONY PMB PORTABLE AND IT STARTED DOWNLOADING THEM GOOD SO AFTER THAT i UNPUGED LOOKED AT THE VIDEO STILL ON THE CAMERA BUT KNOW THEY ARE NOT AND I CAN'T FIND THEM ON THE COMPUTER WHERE ARE THEY AND KNOW DO I FIND THEM
One person with your problem, frustrated with no help from Sony, fixed the problem and posted the video on You Tube. He started his camera, "access" appeared on the screen, he set the camera down, and ran over it with an SVU. The "access" was gone from the screen!
Can you still see them on the tv? If so, you could get a card reader and download the pics to your computer. Then, you could format the card in the camera to get it working again.
Please try to take as many pictures from memory stick as you can then format memory stick through format option in setup. Hope this will resolve this blue access issue. You can use another memory stick like 1GB in this camera.
Hey all actual solution...sort of will get you your files well it worked for me.
i have winrar on my windows 7 pc but should work for anything with winrar.
open my computer
right click memory stick pro duo
click "add to archive"
in the winrar window under format on the left hand side of the window half way down select "zip" format
click "ok"
once your files have archived the DCIM folder and MISC folder will be in the archived file and should be accessible from there
NOTE: you cannot extract files after the archive has been created DCIM folder and MISC folder will still be invisible even if you extract them from the archive.
Files can still be drag and dropped out of the DCIM folder onto desktop or chosen destination from the archived file.
Hope this has been helpful to all reading this and everyone who posted the problem :D
Its simple.
After connecting sony camera USB to laptop, a window will pop up automatically.
In that select files to open.
You can see a folder named DCIM.
click and open DCIM folder, it will contain another folder 101MSDCF.
Inside 101MSDCF you will find all photos that were taken.
This is what i do to reclaim the memory...
I dont know whether its standard way to delete the photos from sony memory stick.
any support guys from sony camera can comment on this solution...

u copy that to PC and try to open with windows picture viewer then format the Memory stick then re use u will get ur files as well as u can use ur memory stick , mail me ur memory stick result @[email protected]
your memory card has a virus! try formatting using camera. make it a habit that whenever you reinsert the memory card in your camera, format it first before taking shots, this will erase everything including virus!
try also to remove and reinsert the card several times, this will gonna clean the contact points inside the camera. Try also another memory card.
