I have a three week old 32 inch flat screen HDTV flat screen. I hooked it up with not problems and have not had a problem until I came home from a trip. I turned the TV on and there is no audio. I turned on my DVD player and played a DVD and there is volume, but I cannot get the volume on my TV when watching cable. I unplugged the cable plugs, but nothing has worked. Any ideas?
If there's no sound at all, switching channels or not, then you may want to check this out:

We have the same issue with our Insignia HDTV. The solution (which is not a solution) on our set is to switch the input to any of the other choices then switch back to Component 1 which is where the cable box is input.

same exact problem with my 32". Volume will go out and only way to get it back is to swith inputs. TV's a week old!
My Insignia 32 LCD lost sound 3 months after purchase from Best Buy. Spent 1.5 months in Best Buy repair facility in Cleveland. Lost sound again, only 1 day after receiving repaired set back. Still waiting for Best Buy to dispatch local repair service. It ha been over 2 weeks now. have made at least 20 calls over the past 2 months to Best Buy customer support. Very frustrating.
no sound on any channels
Is there a sound setting capacity for this tv-dvd combo?
