Zen V Plus

I can't turn it off. It keeps playing until the battery dies. What do I need to do?

Try to do a Clean Up and Reboot.

Remove the battery cover
Partially remove the battery
Press and hold STOP button
Slide the battery back into position - the unit should power on.
When the CREATIVE logo appears on the display, release the STOP button then immediately press and release the PLAY button.
The following options will appear on the display:
Clean Up (Performs a disk scan on the players hard disk)
Format All (Formats the players hard disk - Note: all contents will be lost)
Reload Firmware (Reloads the Operating System. Note: Reloading your OS, will not effect the contents of the files stored on your Zen. Select this option ONLY if you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install.)
Reboot (Reboots the device).

this is hardware issues maybe you have shorted capacitor or defective crystal oscillation, this unit needs to diagnose to find the problem..

Creative zen v problems-frozen

If a reset does not work using the reset hole, then try this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

Its possible that the battery just needs to be charged. Also make sure you are holding down the on off slider for about six seconds, it won't turn on if you only hold it down for a second or two.

"If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."

Won't turn on

Well, if you are new to the creative zen Nano plus, you may not have figured out how to turn it on. hold the play/pause button until the mp3 lcd screen lights up and that should work. if this is not the case i am sorry i cant help, but i also have a creative zen Nano Plus so i could find out for both of our benefits. i hope i helped!

Sony DVP-CX860 not pulling cd's I recently picked up a second had Sony DVP-CX860 and was after some effort got it running and turning on again, but it struggles to pull cd's from the carousel. I have tried previously recommended fixes such as tilting the unit back and using thicker cd's but nothing seems to be working. The arm and belt meant to grab the bottom of the cd are working but unfortunately aren't doing enough. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated as I was looking for one of these for a while, so now that I got my hands on one I am very eager to get it running again.

My Wurlitzer 2100 doesn't make any selections. I have taken the whole mechanism apart to clean it. Once the pin bank removed, I noticed a burned letter solenoid. I managed to get one from another machine with same Ohming. Once I put everything back together, all of the number solenoids were working and SOME of the letters were working as well. It seems that the "hammers" (Fig.52 #9 in the Wurlitzer manual) are not strong enough to hit the pins in the pinbank. Any idea of what goes wrong? When I push any of the pins manually, the mechanism plays the records. Before replacing that burned solenoid, I managed to make some selections by trying to adjust the start and reverse switches and some of the selections played. I have taken the pinbank apart again and could not see anything wrong. After putting eveything back together, I noticed that none of the "hammers" are able to hit the pins. Some letter solenoids don't seem to push far out enough and some don't seem to work at all. What should I do? Thanks for your help.
