Remote does not work

We have curtis tv and travel with it. Remote not working. Has new batteries...and we even bought new remote and added all codes still nothing. New remote worked fine on other tvs.we use tv at home with cable but turn on with tv remote. we are at our sons and hooked up to cable. No remote will work with this tv....why? Tv works fine manually.

Infrared sensor inside the TV is damaged. Replace it.

Could it be possible that the remote needs reconfigured? If none of the buttons work, the it could possibly be that you need to re-enter the TV code back into the remote.

Try adding 1 to the front of the code. 10054 worked for me. Hope this helps.

I own a One-for-All universal remote, and my booklet says the setup code for a Curtis Mathes TV (without a built-in DVD or VCR) is one of the following numbers: 0030, 0047, 0054, 0060, 0093, 0145, 0154, 0166, 0451, 0702. I can not guarantee these numbers will work with your remote, but it is worth a try.
