I ptu music on my mp3 player and it was fine for a couple of days. Then I went to turn it on one day and the screen flicked on then off again. I thought it was the battery so I put in a new one but this time the screen stayed on the green rca screen. It no longer plays and if i want to turn it back off i have to take the battery out. Whats Wrong with it, and how do I fix it??

You need to perform a firmware update, may mp3 players based on flash memory include it in it's softare disc, because it's a very common problem that the OS gets corrupted by misuse, anyway, look for it in the CD, that should work like magic, I have fixed 3 mp3 players like this. :)

I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.
i held in the power button for 5minutes,it shut off, then turned it back on.but now i have another problem, now it wont play my music.i cant get the plan so if u could just tell me what u think or know what to do i would really appreciate it.
To solve this pug it into usb device. Hold down power button for 10-15 seconds. Then go to the RCA website. Download the latest firware. Install it and should work like new.
Ensure the key lock is not activated by sliding
"Power on/off ( )/Hold" towards the center
position. If your player isn’t already on, turn it on by
sliding "Power on/off ( )/Hold" to the left
and holding until the player turns on.

Well, on my Opal Mp3 player, if I used it for almost a day and kept the screen on it does last for almost a day or a little over a day, but if you play the music and don't press anything and keep the screen off it should last a lot longer.
i'm no expert but i am having the same problem with the same series. after letting the battery die for several days of the screen turning on to the welcome screen it eventually just went on like normal. good luck.
