Not responding No matter what I do this keyboard will NOT work! I am using it with a Dell Laptop. It has Windows 2000. I have tried installing it with the c.d, and it is installed successfully. But, when I reboot the computer (as it says to do), the keyboard is still unresponsive. I just bought it, and it can't be broken already! Fast help is MUCH appreciated! Thanks! Do not purchase. Cannot load it to win98 SE as it says you can. I've tried several times to uninstall and reinstall it. Sent an email to the company and no response yet.

I believe it's their keyboards, not your computer, they suck! I have one that is even worse, a Labtec, on which you have to make an extra effort just to be sure you type a letter. that really wears your hands out, and fast. people on instant messengers often wonder what I'm even saying because of letters missing. I was looking for something more easy to type on, and I made the mistake of buying this model yesterday. I followed the instructions to install it word for word not once but numerous times, and it never worked, just kept bringing up the add new hardware wizard (which I despise the sight of when trying to install anything). mainly I hate it because it asks you if you want to connect to Windows Update to search for software, when Windows most likely doesn't have the software you need, so what sense does that make? I even downloaded the drivers from their website, and that didn't make a difference. fortunately, it was only $20, and I kept the receipt. I wrote their technical support an email, and if nothing they suggest helps, it's going back to the store for a keyboard that will actually type! after all, that is its main function right? right.... with the exception of this particular brand name.

MK850 Keyboard used on 2 Laptops, with a different mouse used on both

nice post, but no problems stated.
no issues or bad symptoms stated.
why not try it first then ask.? if there is a problem.?

it is not a DELL keyboard, it's made by Logitech (top brand)
if they are old,???? both need a new battery or it will not work.
inside mouse, inside keyboard, wireless needs a good battery.

NO PC stated, DELL. just DELL. dell what? it has model.
NO OS stated, of the 100s possible.
if windows, say that and the version for 10x better answers.
is the PC on the internet (connected) if yes windows plug and play will load drivers to your alien keyboard/mouse.
but not if XP, I bet. i bet that fails hard.
XP can not use newer devices, on USB, do to its dead state.
Same is true of VISTA, (it too is dead for new things added)

this thing from year 2000?

My keyboad quit working & wnt respond to anything i do..

Hi there,
When the keyboard quits working, here's what you can do but you will either need an external keyboard to do this, or use the on-screen keyboard on Windows.

1) Click on Start, goto the Control Panel, Device Manager, then uninstall the keyboard(s) listed in here. Reboot the computer. When it's back in Windows, try the keyboard again. If it still doesn't work you will need to install the latest drivers from Dell's website.

Hope this helps.

Trying to add dell photo AIO 962 printer to my toshiba satellite laptop which is running windows 7. have followed dell website instructions to download driver/firmwear etc and chosen vista 32bit under drop...

Hi! Regarding this matter. The dell photo AIO 962 may not be compatible with windows 7 thats why it gives you the error message. You downloaded the driver using vista32 but you have a windows 7 on you machine, its not gonna work. It may work on the toshiba if you gonna downgrade from windows 7 to vista, but if you dont want that option you can wait for sometime to have an AIO 962 update for windows 7 for it to work. Hope this helps and have a good one!

LAPTOP KEYBOARD IS NOT RESPONDING TO TOUCH. dELL

try this:
1. shut down your laptop
2. remove battery and unplug ac power
3. keep it that way for 2-3 minutes and then put the battery back in, plug the power cord and turn it on.

if you have no luck try doing a windows system restore and see if that helps. if not you should contact dell support or return for warranty.

Dell Inspiron E1405 Keyboard and touchpad stop responding when bootup gets to Windows password screen. Any ideas as to why? Thanks in advance.

could be a problem with drivers. Try to start windows in safemode. To start in safemode keep pressing F8 imediattly after the laptops starts and will show up a screen, choose safe mode. If in safemode works use system resotre and restore to an earlier time when worked.
