Digital wall timers usually have back-up that holds memory for certain length of time before current time disappears.
Usually the programs remain indefinitely until timer is manually reset.
3) Why do you want to turn timer off?
Usually in-wall timers consume 3 watts of power per year.
Contrast big screen TV consumes 3 watts per hour standby loss when TV is turned OFF.

I have Philips 64P8342 projection tv. It started turning itself off. Most of the time you could turn it right back on but sometimes you have to wait awhile. It usually plays foe about a half an hour or so.The volume also goes up and down on its own.
I have a 52" RCA that is under 2 years old. It powers off and on for a few times then goes off completely. Does anyone know which part this could be, such as the power supply maybe?
