sounds like a pain ..have you looked in the menu to see if you can shut it off ? try watching the tv with the batteries out of the remote to see if you have a fault with that .good luck farr64[colin]

The remote control may only work for the cable box and you may have to manually put the TV on the correct input channel also you might double check that the cable to the TV is hooked to the antenna input. Here is the website for the manual TV if you think it might help.
