Ok what this means is the "Format" you are trying to save & play are NOT correct. Below is a link to a Manual this will be of help. www.scribd.com/doc/86986/SAMSUNG-MP3-YPT9-Manual Basically any software files that you wish to "Play" must have been recorded in the CODEC or "Decoding Software" that the Player uses. Generally the software supplied with the player should contain a program that one can use to convert files to the correct CODEC, and then copy to ya player. The manual will tell you what type of "File" format/codec that you have to use..IE: .mpg, .wma .avi etc etc. PLUS the Screen Size. Armed with this info one can then encode any File and copy to ya MP3/4. There are a number of "Other" softwares that can do this for you.. xilisoft www.xilisoft.com/downloads.html is a great program to use. BUT the best one is generally the Software supplied with ya player usually on ya supplied CD.

How to put videos on the mp3

Ok, please note that the videos downloaded directly from the internet may not work properly on the player. You have to first convert them into a format that is suitable to the player using Philips media converter.

Download the Philips Media Converter software. You can download it from Philips site. Make sure corresponding Codec for playing videos is installed before downloading.

Here is the link for media converter:

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?tmplt=ePlatform%20-%20Philips&scy=US&slg=AEN&sct=FLASH_AUDIO_PLAYER_SU&cat=MP3_MEDIA_PLAYERS_CA&grp=SOUND_AND_VISION_GR&session=20110305020049_125.18.127.111&ctn=SA3345/37&ds=SA3345/37&mid=Link_Software&hlt=Link_Software

The codecs are required to play videos on your player. To download Codec, you can:
1. Go to www.download.com/windows
2. Search for "directshow codec pack"
3. Download and install one of the codec packs from the list of results

Now to download video, connect your player to the PC and click the icon "Internet video downloader" at your desktop.

Open the website where your desired video clip locates. Move the cursor over the video you want to download until you see the Download icon. Double click on the icon to enable download.

After downloading, the Media Converter for Philips will then start to convert the video to the format that suits your player. If your player is connected to the PC, the video will be transferred to the player automatically.

Hope this helps.

I DONT KNOW HOW TO PUT VIDEOS ON MY GO GEAR VIBE

Hello,

Support for GoGear Vibe can found selecting your model on next page:
http://www.search.philips.com/search/search?q=GoGear+Vibe&s=all&l=global&h=all&o=
Select your model from the list.

Under Software and Drivers look for the download of Philips Media Converter Software, in the support page matching your player.
Install and run Philips Media Converter for conversion and transfer of your videos.

When wanting to put videos of e.g. YouTube onto your player, first download the latest codecs for video:
http://www.download.com/windows
Download and install the "directshow codec pack".
To start a download of video from YouTube, click the Internet Video Downloader.lnk icon in the right corner below of the computer screen.

MY MP3 WONT LET ME DOWNLOAD VIDEOS

You have to use the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter to convert/transfer videos. If the converter is not recognizing a specific video type - FLV, for instance - download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder and convert the videos to AVI format first. Then the Philips Media Converter will recognize them.

The Philips Media Converter is not capable of converting an entire DVD - you will have to acquire video editing software, and then break up the DVD files into 15-minute chunks, and then convert each chunk.

If you are getting a codec error, do a google search for free video codecs - they are out there. Windows Codec Pack and downloading the latest version of quicktime will give you most of these needed codecs.

This player is not capable of playing copyright-protected videos - so don't even bother with them.

Additional information is available both from Philips website and from Arcsoft's website.

Downloading vidoes

Download the Microsoft Codec Pack first.
You may need to download additional codecs - MPEG, AVI, FLV - the types of Codec you need depend on the format of the video you are trying to transfer. Do a google search for these Codecs, although you will gain many of them by downloading the latest version of Quicktime.
You may have to convert some video file types to AVI format by downloading a free program called riva FLV Encoder.
Once they are converted to AVI format, your Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter will be able to convert/transfer them properly.

Hey

If the video file you are trying to convert is in AVI format, get an AVI codec. If it is in FLV format, get an FLV codec. Same with Mpeg. The codecs are available for free online from many websites.

Philips GoGear SA3345 (4GB) Media Converter 2.5 to converter ERROR

Disable Auto-Sync in Windows Media Player 11 – go to Microsoft's website for pictorial demonstration

Major Symptom: The Mp3 player is adding songs that I don’t want onto the player

Major Solution:
Open Windows Media Player WITH the mp3 player connected
Move the mouse cursor over to the Sync tab
Click on the tiny black arrow underneath the word “Sync” to bring down a drop-down menu
Select Set Up Sync (this option will not appear if your mp3 player is not connected to the computer)
Uncheck box that says "automatically sync files to device"
Click OK to finish

Voila! You are now set up for manual sync instead of auto-sync.
