Put your phone in a bag, put it in the freezer... It will might work until it warms up again..
It might be your screen, it might be the body of the phone...
for the screen...
get a TORX 6 screwdriver
take it apart Google for V220 take apart/ disassembly
WIggle the tiny flex cable connector near the hinge.. still no luck ????
Buy another V220 on ebay
gently take the phone apart and sub in the whole screen shell and front of keypad.
DO NOT TRY TO remove the screen from the body section.. you will destroy to the teeny tiny flex cable.
Still problems? then its the body... your phone is useless undo what you did, re-assemble the parts phone, learn how to flash the spare phone..
USB adapter Motorola P2K drivers for XP Motorola or other flash tools enter phone service mode connect phone to pc flash back to V 364 firmware run unlocker flash unlock firmware enter dummy unlock reflash to v365 firmware
You don't need 2 flash your razr for this problem. What u need is a screen flex cable. The three buttons around the screen are controlled by a flex cable and the voice recorder is connected on this flex cable. This needs replacing but it's very tricky to deal with. I suggest a really good tech that deals with razr's to handle this problem to possibly replace the flex cable. This would solve yor frozen keypad problem.
Saw quite a few of these.
Have you tried taking the battery and Sim out while the phone is still on?
did you try to flash your firmware on your Razr?
there is one firmware will mess up your keypad, but all you have to do is apply keypad flex and it will work again. A friend recently updated his firmware and had to re-apply flex, works fine now.
