Question about JVC KD-AVX1 Car DVD Player

JVC AVX1 Faceplate

The unit was working fine until this morning, but a spring seems to have broken and the faceplate wont stay on unless I hold it on or tape it. What are my alternatives - new unit or send the old one for repair?

Three possible faults. Irst choice would be connector on radio you see when faceplate is removed may have some oxidation on pins. Sometimes with a small fine point file or dental pick you can try to scrape off any visible oxidation use caution not to bend any pins and be sure radio has no power . 2nd choice could be worn flex cable that connects to main p.c.b. and Third is chassis that keyboard connects to may be slightly bent causing a bad connection. my JVC-KD AVX1 cd player faceplate isnt clipping on it used to clip in and stay on , now it wont stay clipped in. it only works when i press ******* the right side of the faceplate so the metal pins slot inside each other , it also doesnt play dvd's and doesnt read copied cd's very well , it plays originals fine,i tried gluing it onto the rotating cd tray bit but it wasnt held in place tight enough ,is there anything i can do to get it clipped in ? any advice would be much appreciated since i just got it lol

You can get a new face from pacparts.com, but it is about $330. You'd be better off getting a new deck.

I just want to remove my JVC KD-AVX2. What are the steps to do this after popping off the faceplate? I can't seem to get the silver retaining clips off.

need proper tools to slide down the sides to release locking pins or remove dash to get to the screws

JVC KW-NX 7000, the spring loaded latch for the detachable face is broken so the face plate will not stay on therefore I cannot use my unit. Can I buy a new latch for this and if so where or do I have to...

Faceplate wont work

the new face plate needs to be coded to the deck. with the face on you need to press and hold presets #1 and #3 at the same time. keep on holding and press reset continue to hold #1 and #3 until the unit is in all lighting mode. press AM button one time. p-rom ok will display. press and hold #6 and reset at the same time. continue to hold until display comes on.

Xbox wont turn on

Hi,
Your console should turn on when the eject button is pressed. Press the eject button on the front of your console.
If the console turns on when you press the eject button but not when you press the power button, the console faceplate might not be attached properly. To make sure that the faceplate is attached correctly, you should remove it and reattach it.

Position your console horizontally, as you would position a DVD player.
Unplug the power cord and any other cables connected to the back of your console.
While holding your console firmly, curl your fingers inside the oval USB door on the front of the console.
Push the faceplate away from the console with your thumb until the faceplate comes off.

Note You will need to use some force to remove the faceplate.
Once the faceplate is removed, look at the tabs on the back. If any of the tabs shown in red in the illustration below are broken, order a replacement faceplate by contacting Xbox Support.
If none of the tabs are broken, re-attach your faceplate by pressing it firmly until it clicks into place.Try to turn on your console again. If removing and reattaching the faceplate did not solve the problem contact the xbox support.

Jensen MP5720 radio/faceplate connector is broken or missing spring

I was always afraid this might happen to me so I never removed the faceplate from the radio. This strategy worked fine for two years until two weeks ago. I didn't lock my car because of the freezing rain and somebody stole my faceplate and remote. Anyway I ordered a replacement radio from Amazon last week so I don't have rewire a new one. The replacement cost me $100. I don't really need the rest of the radio so make an offer, my email is [email protected]

HELP ME JVC GEEKS! Spring problem keeping faceplate on....

this might seem ridiculous but try heating up a needle that is no more then half the size of the nub and sticking it in the dead centre of the nub, once its cooled down cut off however much of the needle you have to and see if that works, an even more ghetto way of fixing it would be shoving a small straw over the nub to extend it.

Wont play

Try resetting the unit by pressing the small, recessed button on the faceplate with the tip of a pen. If this doesn't work, the player may be defective. There is no wiring error (including failure to hook up the parking brake input) that will prevent the unit from playing CDs.
