What is java script

Java script is a program that works with other programs such as Adobe Flash Player and many others to procees and enable you to read and store items. You can get Java here;
http://www.java.com/en/
If you were trying to watch YouTube you would have to have Java and a Flash Player in order for your system to process and play the video. I f you need Flash Player you can get that here;
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
You have to make sure you have no prior versions of either of these products so, check in device manager and make sure you don't have prior versions. If you do, unistall the prior versions before download od new versions.

I have tried to view some videos on youtube and my computer won't let me. If I download the javascript from java.com; will that fix the problem?

Websites use different media player formats. If youtube is asking you to install the plugin do so. Java.com is a trusted site and will not hurt your pc.

I cannot view the youtube videos. the player says

From my understanding, you cannot view You Tube videos on the PSP because the PSP uses an older version of flash. If you install a custom firmware on your PSP, watching You Tube videos is possible; however, you run the risk of bricking (breaking) your PSP.

If you have the newest PSP, loading custom firmware is still hard to do. However, before undertaking such ventures, make sure you are aware of the risks.

Problem with Youtube

Thanks Eeeeekz,

I tried many things other than turning Java Script on, I think it's the option to allow the on site video player to run. Then I restarted my computer and it works. As I told I'm not sure it's that because I tried many things. Maybe youtube needs the option.

YouTube Help

You have to make sure that JavaScript is turned on, and that you have an updated version of Macromedia's Flash Player.
To be sure that JavaScript is turned on –
Internet Explorer - Tools -> Internet Options -> Security Tab -> Click on Custom Level -> Scroll down to Scripting (near the bottom) and click Enable for Active Scripting. Then OK, and OK again.
Firefox - Tools > Options > Content > Enable JavaScript (Windows) Edit > Preferences > Content > Enable JavaScript
In case JavaScript is turned on and you still can't get it to work, download the latest version of flash player.
