Brother 2820 Having a problem with machine not taking the fax(s) and then when it does start to go the people on the other end get the start of the fax with lines of black and then some of the fax and at the end again just lines. It is like the fax machine is not taking the sheets right away. I have checked the rollers and they seems to be fine. Just wondering you have a answer to what I can do to get this working for me. Other then this the fax machine is great. Thank you in advance. Jlynn

Any clicking noises? Can you make a good copy? Paper seems to be dragging thru the doc feeder. Gears could be stripped, cover may not be closed tightly.

Very likely it is the feed roller. Look for the holders beside the machine and just slot it back in place.

you must have remove the white mylar sheet from the catridge when loading it...if yes! you got to find back the white mylar (plastic sheet) that slot in between the drum and charger roller placed it back ( the position must be accurate) then slot in back the catridge.The white mylar sheet is to reset the drum life counter

Change toner error brother 2820 mach has new brother toner ctg

with machine on, open front cover, press the "options" button, you should see "replace drum?" press the "start" key then 1 then 0. display should show accepted for a couple of secs. then show cover open. close front cover and message should be gone. if not, you will have to contact Brother.
