A new HBM-730 paired to a Razr v3m works fine for about five min, then looses the audio path. The phone is still connected to the called party and the headset is still connected to the phone, but no audio. I can release the call and re-iniate the call and it works fine.
I have the same problem as the other 2 but mine is paired with a LG VX9900. I have audio for about 5 minutes then it is gone but still connected to the called party, with the envy (VX9900) I have to hit the "OK" button 4 times to get the headset audio back....very annoying and I really do like the headset better than the LG 770.

Same Problem & I've had 2 HBm730 bluetooths... The reason is because it is the most comfortable of all of the LG Bluetooths and has the best audio even over the latter models...It's a shame that they fixed the pairing issue, but went backwards in uadio technology !!!Same Problem & I've had 2 HBm730 bluetooths... I have the LG HBM 730 headset also. Have the same problem with the LG VX 8700 phone. I got a replacement headset and the problem remains. I was told to delete and re pair the connection. I did so to no avail. I was told to pair at 10 -15 feet. I did so to no avail. I just went out and bought a $15. wired headset out of simple frustration. I also believe it is a buggy set.

To put your headset in paring mode, first turn it off. Then, press and hold the PWR/END button until the indicator led is solid lit (some 5 seconds). Now, make your phone's bluetooth software to search for devices. Select 'LG HBM-730' from the list. If a passkey (or PIN, or pairing code) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros).
Hope it works for you
Be sure the the headset in in 'Pairing' mode. When in pairing mode, the light should be flashing red and blue or have a steady blue.
The put most headsets in pairing mode, turn headset OFF, then hold the power button until it goes into pairing mode as discribed above.
Then you can discover it with your phone or PC. Pin (pass key) should be 0000 (4 Zeros) or try 1111, 1234, 9999
I was having problems connecting with my HBM-730 so I got fed up and deleted it from the list of paired devices and set it back up again using passkey 0000. It works fine now.
To put the LG HBM-730 into pairing mode you must press the MFB for 5-10 seconds from power off. Pairing mode is denoted by the LED glowing solid red. LG has chosen to stick with the default pairing code of '0000'. Using Bluetooth specification 1.2, as is the custom, the HBM-730 supports both headset and handsfree profiles. I found this on the internet and hope it works for you
i was having a problem getting my hbm-730 to connect/turn on with my enV. i took the suggestion of turning phone off and then turning it back on. i had already removed the device from my phone thinking i had to reprogram it.
when i turned the phone back on, i was able to pair up my bluetooth with my phone with no problem. now, we'll see what happens next time.....but that worked for now.
I found the solution. The original password setting is a combination of zeroes - at least 4. If you did not originally change your password setting for your bluetooth from the original setting - try that. It worked for me.
Step 1 - Enable Bluetooth functionality on the Motorola V3m.
Note: The Bluetooth power must be set to ON position to pair the device.
From the main screen, press Menu [Center NavKey].
Scroll to Settings & Tools.
Scroll to Connections, press [Center NavKey].
Scroll to Bluetooth, press [Center NavKey].
Scroll to Setup, press [Center NavKey].
Scroll to Power XXX, press [Center NavKey].
Scroll to On or OFF, press [Center NavKey].
Step 2 - Put your fully charged Bluetooth headset into pairing mode.
Start with your Bluetooth accessory powered off.
Hold down the power/end key for 5 seconds.
You'll hear a short beep and the LED light turns red.
Your Bluetooth accessory is now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with your handset.
Step 3 - Pair the Motorola V3m with a Bluetooth Accessory.
From the main screen, press Menu [Center NavKey].
Scroll to Settings & Tools.
Scroll to Connections, press [Center NavKey].
Scroll to Bluetooth, press [Center NavKey].
Scroll to Handsfree, press [Center NavKey].
Place accessory in pairing mode. See accessory pairing instructions.
Scroll to Look For Devices, press [Center NavKey].
Phone displays Scanning.
Scroll to XXXAccessory NameXXX, press [Center NavKey].
Phone displays Bond With XXXAccessory NameXXX.
Press Yes [Right SoftKey].
Phone displays Enter Passkey.
Enter 0000, press [Center NavKey]. (See accessory instructions as passcode may vary.)
Phone displays Connected.
