Grandfather clock not chimming

Hi i owned a grand father clock and it had a reset button for the chimes BUT that was if it was an hour or two fast or slow It's only a guess because your clock is 1.15 slower than the chimes, You should be able to remove the hands off the face (note exactly where they were) and replace them 1.15 forward, NOTE you won't be able to push them 1.15 forward as the chimes will follow... I hope i haven't confused you... CHEERS..

The only thing I can think of is removing the chim or disconnecting the mechanism. Attempting to bind it some how to prevent it from being activated might cause damage. I would look at a way of disconnecting I think. If it is electric/electronic I do not know how you would do this if the chime is internal and elctronically sounded.

I have a similar clock, mechanical, keep it as far away from the bedroom as pssible

Check the wires in the back.some times the get corrodes.

iI you mean 'how to turn change oil light off" go to fuse panel. Open drivers door there is a panel cover on the side of dash board, remove cover there is a red RESET button that resets oil pressure and tire pressure. Turn the ignition key to the on position but don't start the car. Now press and release the reset button the change oil light should start to flash, now press and hold the reset button until you hear chimming hold until chimming stops then release, the change oil light should go off. If you need to reset tire pressure press reset button twice, the first push will make the change oil light flash the second press will make the tire pressure light flash then hold untill chimming stops, light should go out . Hope this helps.

When to music plays it is ok but, when the chime occures it acts like it is under water.

I have a B1987 bulova baradwell mantel clock that is chiming off I can't find my instructions book. please help me to fix this problem thanks

Several causes for this:

• Loose lug nuts
• tire out of balance
• bad wheel bearing

Is the door ajar light on? Or is the fasten seatbelts light on? If the door is ajar light is on try removing the switch from the door pillar (start with drivers side first because it will have the most wear). Sometimes there's a rubber cover you pull back and they're usually held on with one or two screws, unhook the wire connector and check if the light went out. If it did buy a new or used replacement switch.
