Question about BEL 946 Radar Detector

Manual I just bought this on ebay and it didn't come with a manual. I noticed that when I turn on the power button it beeps and stays on. But if you hold down the power button it changes the volume. Also, what do DRK, AUD, CTY all mean? I just want to place it in my car, running of batteries, and be able to turn it off. Please help.

Hi Please check the have you inserted 2 battaries (AAA
(x2)).

Search method:
1) Press TV button.
2) Press Magic button and hold for 3 secs
3) Now press 991
4) now press power button
5) now press CH+ button until your television turns off. This may need to press many times.
6) Once turns off, press magic button.
7) Now press Power button. some times TV may not turn on, at that time press any other button.

Volume Lock:

1) Press magic button and hold for 3 seconds
2) press 993
3) press TV Key.

Sad to hear they did not sent you the manual.. Anyway, I did search the internet for it and couldn't find any manual for your watch. Is there something wrong with your watch? It is a very beautiful watch! The controls should be basic. Just pull the lever all the way up to adjust the time.

I have a Dell XPS 600 desktop computer. I cannot get the power to stay on. None of the diagnostic lights light up. I have checked all of the connections and everything is secure.
Here's what to try: Disconnect everything from the motherboard except the CPU and memory. You may leave the video connected to see what, if any, error message you might get.
You didn't say if you got any beeps on startup. They can tell you what might be the problem.
If this doesn't work, remove the memory modules. The power should stay on but you'll probably get either a steady beep or a bunch of little beeps. (I don't have the Dell error codes close at hand at the moment).
If this doesn't work, you have narrowed the problem to one of three things: The CPU, the motherboard, or the power supply.
You didn't mention just what happens when you turn it on--just that it won't stay on. Error messages are helpful if you get any on the screen as are any beep tones.

When hitting the power button on the handheld unit the lights flash but don't stay on. I plugged the handheld unit into power supply which I guess is used to recharge the batteries but lights still...
It's finicky. You have to hold the power button down for a few seconds.

You will need to restore the system software by going into the recovery mode. You will lose any unsaved data on the hard disk doing this though. Press the power button and hold until the system beeps and turns off. Release the power button and then hold it again until the system turns on and beeps twice quickly. This will then enter the recovery menu.

you could try resetting the grapics by holding down the power button until you hear 2 - 3 beeps. This may or may not help, it will set the video display back to default,
