Open Question

Dead battery and lost combination.

Bought house. Seller did not use and did not know the combo. Battery appears to be dead because display is blank. Is there any non-dstructive way to get the device open so I can add a new battery and set a new code?

How do I open a sentry s3877 safe when the battery is dead and safe is closed

The factory code combination to your electronic lock will remain in the memory of the unit - even if the batteries go dead. Any use programmed codes will be lost if the batteries lose power. The Sentry programmed factory code is always your default code.

If you do not know your factory code, you can follow this link for your combination retrieval:

After I changed a battery on R0614ZM TERNER watch, the display went berzerck and then blank altogether. Any ideas at all?

Some watches have a "reset" button or combination of buttons that must be pushed to clear all the electronic registries on the watch's little computer after you replace the battery. You might try taking off the watch back and seeing if your watch has this requirement. Even then, it's not always a perfect solution. Last week, I replaced the battery in a watch that had been dead for some time. The watch appeared to come alive again when I put the new battery in, but when I pushed the reset pin (on this movement, it was on the watch movement itself, next to the battery), the entire watch went dead. Nothing I did would wake it up. I removed the battery, waited 30 seconds, then re-inserted the battery. Problem solved; the watch powered up, and I was able to set the time and access all functions again.
On some digital watches from the 1980s, after replacing the batteries, you were supposed to push and hold all the external buttons for a few seconds to reset the watch. I don't think manufacturers still make watches that respond to this, but it is easier to try than taking off the back and re-installing the battery.

We have a S3877 Sentry safe. The battery appears dead so I can't use the code. I also have the key but since the battery is dead it is no help. What can I do?

I bought a refurbished lg chocolate2. when i try to charge it, it says "use genuine batter, power off"

Sounds like the OEM battery has an internal sensor to check for damage. And the phone has software to check. If the battery lacks the sensor or actually has damage or changes been done, the phone lets you know.

Using a non-OEM battery shouldn't be a problem if you don't care about the protective circuitry the OEM battery comes with. If the non-OEM battery is advertised an an exact replacement for your original, then you have an issue with the seller - he cheated you, not the phone supplier.

The wrong number was input and now we can't get into the safe, we don't have a key for it, and the batteries seem to be flat. What can we do? The safe is an electronic digital safe GX B0709

You don't know the combination code, and you don't have a key? Or you know the right combo code, but the batteries are dead? If you have the right code, and the batteries are near-dead, try the jiggle suggestion...put the safe on you lap, put in the correct combo, and jiggle the safe while turning the latch. Might work.

Dell Inspiron E1505 won't recognize new battery

It won't charge or work correctly if it's not the correct one and of the right voltage etc.I don't know how the battery even went in if it's not the Dell specified battery. If it went in and looked to fit maybe the battery itself is bad but its hard to say.
