Question about Electrolux 23 in. ESI6104 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

It seems to start, then stops after a few minutes..

The dishwasher (Electrolux ESI6104 built-in) starts, then stops after a few minutes, when I open the door there has been no water in the unit. It does this on every setting. I did notice that the washing tablet had popped out and burst (it's one with a liquid bit in it). Not sure that would be the cause. The water supply is not cut off from the mains as far as I can work out Thanks Jon

Jon, check that the inlet water valve works(it is an electromagnet valve, located at the pipe's entrance to the machine)). If it doesn't work, test that it get power. In case it get power and doesn't work - You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! Check as well for valve's coil resistance. In case you have no resistance measurement - you should replace it for a new one. Good luck

Dishwasher wont fill up with water

When you start the dishwasher you have probably noticed that it first drains water and is very important to hear that drain pump running all the time or stops after a while? Why?
If the drain pump runs constantly then the fault is in the phase of "drain water" or is activated anti-flood system. Reset point of pressostat is not reached after max. 120secs. Programme stop and can be continued after error remedy by pressing the programme key.

If the pump is running for a while and then stops, then the fault is in phase "fill up water". Switchpoint of pressostat is not reached
after max. 60 secs.

Usually built-in dishwashers has anti-flood system that responds in the event of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Such a case, find and repair water leaks.

My electrolux dishwasher will not start and no lights on panel

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EDW5505ESS, will not start and the control panel seems to be dead. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 20-30 minutes. Once power is restored, if the panel is still not lighting up, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. I do not suggest trying to repair it yourself. There could be something other than the panel, which is causing the dishwasher to seem dead. The technicians will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what is causing the panel to not light up. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Start button won't work, but delay does

have you accidently turned on a safety feature stopping the machine from starting? or is the door latches closed fully, if opened slightly could be preventing the machine from starting. or maybe its just a faulty start button.

Our dishwasher does not drain completely and leaves a bit of water covering the bottom at the end of the cycle. We tried running the disposal during the cycle to see if that clears a drain, but it did not...

this might help, i had same problem, right where the dishwasher hose connects to the disposal, it was partially blocked with grease, loosen the hoseclamp, pull off, and scrape it out.

Dishwasher will not start

Go to your electrical panel and turn off the circuit that feeds your dishwasher. It will also turn off the clean light. Wait three minutes and then turn the circuit back on. That should reset your machine.
