Type of gasoline for Toro Recycler 6.5 HP

The motor is the power house of the cutter which is responsible for rotating the blades. Electric lawn mowers can be stopped for two main reasons: A faulty power switch or a loose cable connection. Motor overheating can cause thermal cut-out to trip.

Your recycler mower is either gas or electric (as you may know). The gas models use straight gasoline. You do not mix oil with the fuel.

Got the same problem with mine, replaced the drive belt, removed the wheels and checked for rocks and pebbles, greased, checked also bottom of gearbox. grease was present no broken teeth, top pulley has excive side to side play. Have not disaasembled yet. Hope someone would have had a solution here.

Toro model plates are white stickers with black lettering. On rear bagging models it is usually under the rear bag flap to the left of the discharge area. On side bag and commercial type units it is frequently on the underside of the plate that is just below where you hold the handle while mowing. On older recycler mowers it was on top of the left rear portion of the deck and usually fell off before the mower was very old.

I have the same problem but no solution

You have to remove the whole engine air shroud over the flywheel to gain access to the recoil and rope mechanism. If you need specific help on your exact model engine I need all of engine model type numbers 5 to 6 char then 4 char then 2 char i.e XXXXXX-YYYY-ZZ for B & S Honda numbers are by the engine oil port on the base of the crank case. If it doesnt start manually,you have another issue to deal with. Whether it has electric start or not you should be able to manually pull start it. You can also get the model and serial number off the engine and contact your nearest toro dealer to have charger and key ordered. As far as a push button,it can be done,just a matter of finding someone to install one for you.

To know for sure, I need to know what kind of engine is on it. Toro only makes the mower, the engine is made by another company. Assuming it's a Briggs and Stratton in the 4-6 hp range, it would be behind a flat vertical cover on the right side with one screw at the top. Part # 491588

Your carburetor is definately dirty or it needs new gaskets, screen, and needle valve( carb. kit). Is this something that you think you might want to attempt? It really isn't that difficult. Can be done in about an hour. If so, let me know and I can give you a few tips.
