Sounds like your screen aspect ratio is off. IMine did the smae. I took it off of autoformat, and just moved the left/right buttons beside the ok button until the screen was on 16:9 all the time. Also directtv, dishnet and some cable boxes have an aspect ratio on them. You may need to go in and adjust it to 16:9 as well.

Picture is too wide to fit screen can not see complete picture

hi there, i don't know your TV brand but this could be of help anyway. there is an adjustment for horizontal and vertical width. you can manually adjust the setting until it fits the picture on the screen. for standard TV it has trimmer in the CRT board. If in your case you have a soft adjustment in the remote control try to adjust it. Learn how the menu works just look for the picture adjustment.
Good luck, please rate and vote.

Picture got bigger

Yes, you can adjust the picture by using your remote going to settings, or "Adjust" when your t.v. turns on and off by itself could have'ft to do with nasty weather near you, or the cord is loose and it needs to be pushed in all the way.
