Getting double image in colors

This is Because of the wire is not connected properly chaeck the wires >> unplug and replug them if there are any screws please tighten them

or replace the cord

sound like the convergence ics have failed

I have red concave lines going across the screen, plus wording appears double like a ghosting effect, this is ongoing from the time the tv is turned on until it is turned off. This started 3 days ago. Is it time for a new tv, its 9 or 10 yrs old now.

you have lost the convergence IC`s in your set, this really isn`t a diy repair unless you are very proficient in un-soldering and re-soldering components, once replaced there will be an alignment procedure as well that will require the service manual also, if you have more questions feel free to ask away, video-tek

bad converage ic's, check reisters around them and fuses for -&+VCC

There are failures occuring in the scann and convergence circuits. This may not be feasible to service.

you can get it your tv fix the problem is in the IF amp and video circuit.a convergence will also be neeeded.the tv is old but can give you some more life call a tech they will be your tv doc.

the unit needs the convergence ic's replaced and probably a couple of safety resistors.average repaire are about 300 from a tv shop
