Fedders Window AC Unit

When I plug in my Fedders Thru Wall/Window unit, it runs through all the functions with all the little green lights lighting up, turns on for a second, and then shuts off. Then, after remaining plugged in for approximately 30 seconds or less, it stops working altogether. Alternately, sometimes it cycles through the temperatures and starts at around 72, then walks up all the way to like 88, while still doing that whole shut off thing in between each temperature. Then it shuts off altogether. Possible power shortage or what? Any ideas?

I would try to start the unit with only the fan running at first. If it stays running then cycle on the compressor and see how it does. If the unit does not operate when compressor is turne on then we have to dig deeper into that.

Where is fedders 5000 btu drain plug

If you have a window unit or thru the wall unit, Drain Hole is located under the drip pan at near the rear of the unit. It may be difficult to find if it is clogged. As the clog will blend in wit the hole.

Do you have enough power to unit? Check plug for any loose wires on unit, with unit unplugged of course.

you have to open the unit up or atleast see if the fan is failing. The blower motor is usually a double shaft and cool the compressor and also blows the air across the evaporator. Look for the air to stop blowing then the compressor to shake from overheating.

A6414w7b b wall unit gfi plug keep tripping problem: fedders wall unit brand new keep tripping the gfi on its power cord

GFI plugs go bad very often if you had a storm in you area. You need to replace the plug. Go to aplliance parts house and they will sell you the new cord. Feed back please.

Fedders Y Chassis Quit Running

Bummer. I bought an AEY08F2G that put out no warm air and very little cool air. Fedders filed chapter 11 in August. They do not honor warranties now, and apparently offer no repair service. I was fortunate that I bought mine from Venting Direct, and the unit was still within the 60 defective return period. They told me that Fedders units are junk. They provided full credit for the unit (plus shipping costs) without requiring that the unit be returned to them. My advice is to toss it. Live and learn.

2021 Coleman Mach AC Unit not turning on... This is only a 2.5 year old unit... (model Coleman Mach 452030-8793 Mach 10 NDQ Air Conditioner 13.5 BTU) Symptoms - Unit does not cool (just blows hot air, and cycles from buzzing sound to no-buzzing sound) (thermal overload relay cycles on/off (the relay attached to compressor). Also.. if on generator power, the unit kills generator when switched to low-cool (under load) (even with a new soft-start installed) Things I have tried so far: 1. Replaced Start Capacitor (including PTCR that attaches to top of start capacitor). 2. Replaced Run Capacitor 3. Installed Soft-Start kit (made by Coleman -hoping this would fix the problem) 3. Tried running AC on 110v "shore power" to no avail - still just buzzes ( and thermal overload relay cycles on/off (the relay attached to compressor).
