Hpt45 will not work on Vista

HP did not release a driver for any version of Windows higher than XP

You will need to manually load the XP drivers for your printer.

To support the Officejet T45 in Windows Vista, install it using the Officejet R45 drivers. Color printing and high resolution output is supported using that driver!

Try the HP 950C as your driver for the T45, it worked on mine.

There are no official drivers for the T45 in Vista. You can, however, use the Officejet R45 drivers instead. It seems to work well, and supports color printing.

use the Desk jet 890c driver built in to Vista. Use the Add Printer command and choose the Desk jet 890c from the printers listed.

try using the same driver but just go threw the device manager then right click update driver and click find the driver on the computer and find the driver from the xp file if thats what your operating system was before and use it, it will take the driver out to use it that might work or you could right click on the file and click properties then click compatibility and find the operating system you was using before then click apply

I had the same problem, but was able to use my printer by adding HP OfficeJet V40 instead from the dropdown list. I didn't need to bring in a driver. Try it...it worked for me.

Unless there is an overly compelling reason to be using Vista roll back to XP, wait a few more months for the new drivers. Vista I'm sure has just been developed to keep mental health proffesionals in buisines. Failing that you can often "trick" XP drivers to work on Vista ocasionaly even got a few 2K ones to work.

Obviously hit them manufacturers web site. But don't be so sure. Had to abandon a printer because just no drivers for Vista.

Go back to XP - Vista offers nothing of significance over XP and with service packs is nice and stable - Vista at this point in time does not play nicely with others hardware or software.

Try this link. It is the full intall file for the all in one being run on a Vista Machine. It worked fine for my installation.

Muck around on the site for a bit, and you can also find the same install file for Windows XP.

After Vista servicepack1, your HP4200C Scanjet should work if you use the latest drivers from sj655en.exe downloaded from HP.com.
