You need to clean the reading head. When doing this you need to be very careful about static electricity. And never run the unit with anything more than the lid off.
First there are 3 screws on each side that take a side cover off.
Second there are 2 more screws that hold the lid on. Once the screws are removed lift the back of the lid first and tilt forward to clear the front switches.
Third; Remove the top of the DVD unit, to do this there are two screws and two tabs that hold the top on the DVD unit.
Fourth; To clean I used a vacum, but you can use canned air. But be very careful. These are very delicate parts.
Do not let the vacum touch any of the electronic parts. Do not do this with the unit plugged in. Before you test the Player put the top of the DVD unit back on. You can leave the main lid off at this point.

Check with an other known good disc. If it shows the same for that disc too, its laser pickup unit has the fault, and should be replaced. Contact any experienced service technician. Replacing laser pickup assembly to blu-ray players are a very very skilled work. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
1. Turn off the printer. 2. Turn it over and remove the battery cover. 3. Looking above the batteries, you will see a square opening into the upper part of the printer. In that opening you will see a white gear. Sometimes it seizes. Take a long, thin object (screw driver, letter opener, etc) and rotate the gear. It does not matter which way you turn it. 4. Because your range of motion is limited in the small opening, turn the gear in the same direction about 10-12 times so it gets a full revolution. 5. Now turn on your printer and try it again.
Have you tryed to use a lens cleaning disc yet. The laser lens on these players and recorders alike, must have the lens cleaned every oince in awhile. If that does not help, most likly you have a bad laser pickup assembly and you will need to replace the plaer as to have that repaiered, you could buy a new unit. Good Luck
