You could try checking the glass buzz fuse inside of the television located on the circuit board......
If not, try using google to do a search for your model's repair guide...

David that is a hard one to diagnose without some higher end test gear...it literally could be any of the boards in the TV causing this and replacing them without running some tests is a waist of money.

My Phillips TV-29"surround speakers model,makes crackling sounds like firecrackers when switched on and the picture appears off and on before the screen goes blank.Sometimes a blue horizontal line appears...

I suggest you download a service manual if you can find one.

I am not an expert in such things but as it seems to be primarily a vision problem that is causing the sound to crackle and presumably the sound continues after the vision has failed indicates the problem could be in the power supply circuitry to the scan system(s). The horizontal blue line indicates the frame has failed but the line is still operating.

That memory remnant from the days of proper pre-computerised tv is all the clue I can provide. These days the presence of so many hybridised circuits and loads of chips needs an entirely different skill base (and tools) than a basic understanding of electronics provide. Studying a service sheet/circuit diagram might provide the starting point for testing.

The television sparks when you switch it on.

I do not have any suggestion but you need to keep pushing them on the repair. This is the same company that is used to be called Gold Star from the 70's. it made a lot of cheaply made products like VCR's and TVs. They changed the name to LG (Lucky Goldstar, not much better than the old name) later on, who will want to buy LCD TV, and appliance with th name like Gold Star, Lucky Goldstar?
It looks like it never improve its products quality and services, new name with the same junk.

it sounds like you have an av switching fault .
This is on a printed circuit board .
This fault and cre should be checked by a competant service engineer

My camera say err CF

These are steps to Fix Err 99's, have a go and see if resolves your other problem too.

To isolate the cause of the issue, do the following: -
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Remove the lens, battery, and CF card.
3. Allow the camera to sit without power for approximately 20 minutes.
4. Insert only a fully charged battery, and turn on the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.

Does the “ERR 99′ message appear? If so, the camera may be faulty and requires a service. If it does not, then: -
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Insert the CF card.
3. Turn on the camera.
4. Format the CF card in the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.

Does the “ERR 99′ message appear? If so, then the CF card is faulty. Try a different card. If the message does not appear: -
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Clean the gold contacts on the lens by GENTLY rubbing them with a pencil eraser or soft cloth. Keeping the camera face pointing down, also clean the gold contacts on the camera, being careful that you do not let any debris fall into the camera body.
3. Reattach your lens.
4. Turn on the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.
If the “ERR 99′ message only appears when one particular lens is attached, then that lens should be examined by a service technician.
If you see the “ERR 99′ with a different Canon lens attached, then the camera is faulty and should be serviced.
