After starting my pc it automatically shuts down after 5 secs.
One of a few things, if the cmos barttery is totally flat then sometimes because the bios memory has failed it can cause a shutdown, but then normally automatically reeboots in a cycle. The other is that the processor is the brains that takes over after the cmos post check, so the CPU may be faulty, or simply that the motherboard is not supplying enough power to run the processor, either due to the motherboard being faulty, or a faulty power supply unit, which powers the motherboard, so unfortunately it is a process of illimination.
