Handsfree mute always on

Hi,

Please check that the mute button on the device or any associated remote control is not stuck in the down/pressed position. If not, then please switch the sound source and test the device for sound again. Otherwise, we can move onto a power cycle of the device.

ok..try to go your sound settings, maybe the microphone is turned off. OR try to restart your phone just to make that headset is working properly.

Intercom button/s provide dial tone when they are pressed. They are required to call other phones on your system.
Sounds like your button is stuck or issue with the motherboard.

There is a speaker test you can do. Press the feature button then on the dial pad press 805 followed by the # key or the next key until you see speaker test in the display. Press the test key or the hold button to start the test. You should hear a page tone at maximum volume. Press any button to end the test, the volume will return to its previous level.

The phone is mute by pressing the handsfree/mute button(bottom left button). sometimes the button labels do not match the feature that is programmed for the button. Press feature * 0 and any button to see what feature is programmed on the button.

If handsfree is enabled on your telephone, any line or intercom button activates the handsfree, if you press the handsfree button after selecting the line then the button activates handsfree mute, Press the handsfree mute button again to un-mute the line.

If you have a hansfree/ mute button (green button on the lower right) pressing the handsfree a second time mutes the mic. pressing the handsfree button again activates the mic

sounds like your handsfree button is stuck down if its automatically going to speaker.

The button for handsfree is the same button for Mute.
So when you are on the handsfree call, press the handsfree button again and the call is muted on your side.

To talk again, press the handsfree button to un-mute the call, then press it again to mute your call.

To hang up press the orange RLS button.

Call your muted A747 from another phone.
Answer the call.
On your A747 select Options with the top left button.
Select the first entry, Mute/Unmute.

This fixed the same problem on my A747. Before doing this the Mute/Unmute had no effect. After doing the repair, all is OK.

set it on fire, or have it replaced, the company will have a warranty so I think the bonfire may be a good idea to hold off on, even tho with the irritation I would love to burn one just once. I had this happen but more embarassing than that, I was in the airport and the speaker phone turned on as well, so I was unable to tell my friend anything I had to hang up on them and txt them as the phone continued to do this till it was replaced
