Replace the color cartridge. inkjet ink doesnt last very long if not used regularly. soaking rarely works very well try replacing the cartridge. or simply replace the printer. this is actually usually cheaper than replacing both cartridges.

I have the hp6500 printer I put a new red cartridge in but when I do a clea cartridge it will not print the red. It seems like the print head is dried up. Is there such a product to clean the print head...

Try removing the print head, run it under hot water for 2 mins, then let soak for 10 min. then used a can of compressed air to dry thoroughly. It may fix the blocked nozzles.
A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

Blue is not printing

Hi,

The following may work: remove all the ink supplies. Remove the printhead and soak it for about 5 minutes in 0.5" of very hot water. Gently blot the printhead on a soft damp paper towel to remove the excess water, then replace in the printer and then reinstall the ink supplies.

I have installed new printer cartridge (Colour) and it is only printing blue. Cartridge is identical to the old one which printed OK.

I found this procedure hard to believe, but my 710C was printing black and pink only. Someone suggested taking the color cartridge and soaking the tip in hot water! I microwaved some water in a cup for 2 minutes, placed the end of the color cartridge in it for 30 minutes. I took it out and blotted with a paper towel until finally all three colors bled out. I dried throughly and put back in printer.... it works great. I might also add I had 2 new cartridges that this happened to.

Cannot get the magenta ink tank to flow in a Cannon Pixma 4500

Yes, you can take the printing head out  and soak it up in hot water. You can even blow some air on it, this will dislodge even the nastiest dried ink gunk. If even after that the head doesn't work then it's dead - buy a new printer.

Prints in blue and green ; all ink cartridges are

Dear Dahcota; If it has a single color cartridge, there are three components inside the cartridge-red, green, blue, and all colors are a superimposition of these 3 basic colours RGB in different proportions. It looks like the red component has run dry. So, what you get is the color without the red component. If its showing all cartridges as being full, sometimes these levels shown are inaccurate. Try changing the entire color cartrigde or red component, then see if you still have the same problem. What I am not sure is if the red cartridge is a separate entity . If the red is separate, and changing it does not improve things, the connection in the printer might be faulty. Go to www.hp.com and browse for the correct make ask them online there, It should really be okay, once you have replaced the red or entire color cartridge is it is a single unit with all 3 colours

New color cartridge won't print in correct color

Was this a new factory ink cartridge or a refilled one?
I have seen some reconditioned/refilled with the color inks refilled in the
wrong section.
