The problem is with the lower water tank float switch, it is stuck. Take off the right hand side panel (as you are facing the machine) at the bottom you will see a spring mechanism for the belt tension. Beside this there are 2 electrical connectors. Take them off and spray with wd40 or similar. Whilst off give the plastic box they fit 2 a light tap with a hammer to free the float switch. Reconnect and try. If this fails you can over-ride by leaving the left hand of the two plugs off. This will get your machine working but you will not have an indication as to when the water container needs emptying so you will need to remember.

I have a bosch classixx tumble drier, condensing type. When I try turning it on, select levei of dry. Then press the start button I get a bleep, then the 'drying light', 'iron dry light' & 'anti-crease/end...

Sounds as though you need to unplug then empty the water from the water container & the lint box, then definitely open the bottom flap & by rinsing & drying the condenser box gently to avoid damage use an old tooth brush, once all these are complete plug back in & try again, as it will not reset until all these are empty & clear, hope this helps.....

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If you have already cleaned the vent then the problem is with the Thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair. It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for continuity before replacing. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hoover HDV 7 FM tumble drier. The drum is not turning (its making a loud buzzing noise like its trying to get going) and the filter light is on, although that is free from fluff. Is it time for a new drier...

sumanth m 's answer may well be correct because I have the same dryer and it has the same problem. I got a massive electric shock off mine and so I think the buzzing is a protection measure against a short circuit

Lg dryer DLG1701W te1 and te2 codes blower thermostat keeps blowing as well Hello my lg dryer model number DLG1701W has been having issues for the past 3 days. Dryer finished a normal cycle and wouldn't start up again after swapping load of laundry out. When I tried starting it up again it was throwing a te1 code. Looked up the code on lg's website and tried doing a hard reset. Tried a few more times again and this time I was getting a te1 and a te2 code. Looked up the te2 code and decided to pull the machine out and inspect/clean the exhaust. Exhaust wasn't clean but air flow also wasn't restricted and the flaps on the outside of the house were on and in good shape. Hook the machine back up again and tried starting it again with attempting to reset again with no luck. I decided to pull the machine apart and test the thermistor with my fluke meter. found the thermistor on the exhaust side was reading but was all over the place. 13 ohms while in the machine. Down to 9 ohms when removed. After letting the thermistor sit for a little bit it was reading 11 ohms but was all over the place in that range between 11.08 to 11.96. Wasn't sure if that was normal or not so I decided to replace it. Tested the other thermostats while I was in there and found both thermostats on the gas range were reading normal but the thermostat on the exhaust side of the unit was faulty. Not reading at all. So I replaced the thermistor and the thermostat on the exhaust side. Button the machine back up and go to test but initally the same error codes were coming up te1 and te2. Finally after a few more attempts the dryer started. I had it set on a high temp 40 minute cycle. After about 10 minutes of it running though the barrel stopping turning and the gas range shut off. But it didn't throw any codes. The display continued to countdown and all the other light were working as if it was still running. Shut it off a few times and tried starting it back up and the same thing would happen. Countdown would display and countdown. All the lights would light up as if it was working but the barrel wasn't turning. And the gas range wasn't running. I walked away for a little bit to think about it (approximately 2 hours) when I came back to it, the machine was doing the same exact thing as what it would initially do. Click and display a te1 or a te2 code. I pulled the machine back apart again and currently still have it apart. The thermistor seems to be in a continuous 11.25 ohms range with the ohms dropping when touching the sensor it self. The thermostat that was just replaced has blown once again. Any insight on why this could be happening would be very much appreciated Update. Checked all the components again including the motor. Motor checked out good. Put everything back together again. Try it again a few times. This time everytime I tried it, the machine would start and run for a 4 to 5 seconds then shutdown and throw back the te1 and te2 code. Note: it never has both the te1 and te2 code at the same time. Each time it's tried it 1 or the other
