Tv won't read dvd. do i need to have it on another channel than 4? do i need a remote? i have connected the video and audio cables and have tried changing channels manually and through setup. the screen is black.
You have to choose the right INPUT on your TV where your DVD player was connected. If your using the Yellow/Red/White cable from your DVD player you need to choose on your TV the input Example Video1 Video2, etc... If your using the COAX,(like cable wire) Put your TV on Channel 3 or 4. Hope this may help you. Please post the outcome, if you need further help. Is this TV is a COMBO?

I can't figure out how to get to the different tv modes without my remote. with the remote I just hit game mode to play a dvd. now my remote will not work and i can't manually get the tv to pick up the dvd. Is there a way to do this?
Have disconnected a freeview box and can't set up the channels. Have tried the automatic and manual installation with the remote.
