Just check the power cord of your printer it maybe don't have any lost connection or change the power cord. If did not work also their was a problem of your powersupply. You need to bring it to the electronic center technician for the proper repair of the power supply.
Install this program, set your printer model and the driver (Epson Stylus Photo R1800) when it starts up. Close the program, and it will minimize to the tray on the taskbar - right click on the icon and goto "Protection Counter". Choose "Reset Protection Counter". Choose "Yes" to the question about the waste ink pads, then switch the printer off for 1 minute. This should cure the problem.
If you are using Mac, make sure you choose or add the correct R1800 printer ( USB or Firewire ) to the Printer list in order for the printer to response. Hope this will help
Definitely a "faulty" motherboard. If fans on PC do not turn, no lights come on and dead screen.
If lights come on, and fans turn, try to reset the BIOS by removing your CMOS (and setting the jumper to clear for about 5 minutes, then put the jumper to normal again) battery for 5 minutes.
Sometimes the bios just "stuffs" up and you'll get no response from your pc at all. So all you do is "CLEAR THE CMOS/BIOS"
You have done all the usuall checks, but you may have a usb power problem, try the printer without any other usb peripheral in and see if it stays connected.
If not, then the usb connection or workings in the printer may be faulty and keeps disconecting, hence the bing bong as it re connects to windows.
You may have faulty hardware, leave the printer disconnected from usb and mains for 15 mins or so then try again.
Thanks Davroslives.
