Here are the steps to reset the page count on a Lexmark E234, as described here:

  1. Power the printer on and get it to the Ready state.
  2. With the printer on and in the Ready state, open the front cover.
  3. Press and hold the Cancel button until all of the lights begin flashing up and down.
  4. Release the Cancel button and close the door. The photoconductor count should now be reset.
Hope that helps!

Whenever you replace the photoconductor unit, you will also need to reset its page count. Failure to do this will cause the printer to display, or continue to display, a Replace Photoconductor Kit message and possibly stop printing. IMPORTANT! The photoconductor page count should be reset only when a brand-new photoconductor kit is installed. Resetting the page count without replacing the photoconductor kit could cause the photoconductor to operate beyond its intended life and thus create print quality issues. Power the printer on and get it to the Ready state With the printer on and in the Ready state, open the front cover With the printer on and in the Ready state, open the front cover Release the Cancel button and close the door. The photoconductor count should now be reset.

I need to reset my Lexmark E238, since I can't print document from a certain site that I work with. Please let me know how to do it, since I don't have the CD to reinstall. Thank you

if it is a single file that will not print it is most likely the file, not the printer.
some websites require postscript support to print properly
try saving the webpage and then printing.

I have installed a new conductor assy and it still reads needs conductor. What should I do e238 printer.

After installing a new photoconductor kit, you will need to reset the photoconductor page count. Click on this link: http://bit.ly/dBypO2 for instructions on how to reset the photoconductor page count. If problem persists, follow the instructions on this link: http://bit.ly/9RyR9J. If these don't help, the printer may require service.

It prints to light

Try replacing your cartridge. You could have a faulty cartridge. You may be due to replace your photoconductor unit which needs replacing every 30,000 page counts.

Poor print quality

Sounds to me like a toner cartridge going bad, but If you want to clean the photoconductor, blow it with compressed air, there shouldnt be anything to "scrub" off. Just a dry cloth should get anything else. if it looks good, it may have become exposed somehow...roll it manually with your thumb and see if there is a discolored part. I dont think this is any larger of a problem than replacing the photoconductor and possibly toner.

What is the error code from page 69 and 70 of the E-232 manual?
Here is the webpage to download anything that you may be missing. The manual has a very complete section on complete clearing of jams.
