Click Start
Click All Programs
Click Accessories
Click System Tools
Click Files and Settings Transfer Wizard
Use the Wizard, but "de-select" most of the settings, so that _only_ the "network settings" are saved.
Tell the Wizard to write one file to a USB memory-stick.
Move the memory-stick to the new computer.
Run the Wizard again, telling it to "import" the settings from the memory-stick.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 signal swing

#1 Your BlackBerry does not have sufficient Power
Check the battery charge level as shown by the battery icon on the top left of the home screen. No Power - Battery Charge Indicator does not show a charge or is very weak. The battery icon may be red. Charge the battery.
#2 You are Out of Network coverage area
Check the Signal Strength Indicator on the home screen. (1 to 5 bars, as shown below, indicating signal strength). If there is no signal, you may be out of range of the network.
If you are sure you are in range of the network, but show no signal strength, press Alt-Right Shift-Del at the same time. This will cause the BlackBerry to reacquire a network connection.
The process for this procedure is:
  • Press Alt-Right Shift-Del (The Del key is also the Backspace key.)
  • The screen will go blank, and an hourglass will appear. Wait for the hourglass to go away.
  • The startup screen will appear. Wait for it to go away.
  • A screen that says Verifying Security Software will appear. Wait for it to go away.
  • Check the Radio Tower icon.
If you are in Coverage Area of your Service Provider, You will get the network.
#3 Your Data plan is switched Off.

No network coverage signal

If you are not receiving a signal ... you are out of range. You will have to move within range of the signal tower to use your device. I suggest you contact your service provider concerning this. There is otherwise little or nothing that you can do until you get within range of the tower signal.

Thanks for your visit today.

I cannot connect my ipod touch to my router how do i connect it?

First you'll need to turn on your Wi-Fi.

1. Choose (Settings) then (WiFi) then (turn WiFi on)
2. Set iPod touch to ask if you want to join a new network: Choose (WiFi) and turn (Ask to Join Networks) ON or OFF.

Then you'll need to join a WiFi network (your D-Link for instance)

1. Choose (Settings) then (WiFi) then wait until your D-Link shows up in the list of networks.
2. Select your network and if you have a password for your router make sure you type it. (networks that require a password have a lock icon next to it) then tap (join)

Once you join a WiFi network manually, iPod touch will automatically connect to it whenever the network is in range. If more than one previously used network is in range, iPod touch joins the one last used.

When iPod touch is connected to a WiFi network, the WiFi icon in the status bar at the top of the screen shows the connection strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the connection.

Good Luck

When i flip the phone open, on the main screen at the top it says "No access to net." Whenever i try to make a call the call doesn't go through and is back to the main screen. And when someone calls me,...

Have you tried shutting the phone off for about 10 seconds then turning it back on? My phone does this some times and it's just because I am out of range of a tower for the network. If this doesn't help, it could be a network problem and for that you would have to contact your network provider.

Please have patience with an elderly computer illiterate person. Am near a wifi tower and am interested in purchasing a eub362ext wireless usb adapter to get on line. My desk top has windows XP. Will this...

Hi spring chicken.
Two ways of going about this, cost about the same, £15 - £20. Your computer needs to talk to wireless tower, this is done by a plug in USB wireless dongle, (small stick, plugs in computer USB port) or by a wireless PCI card that fits inside your desktop in a PCI slot,(white slots on your motherboard,3or 4 of them side by side) Both ways are straight forward plug & play. You say you are near a wifi tower, this is fine as long as you are in what we call a wifi hotspot, where the owner of the tower allows unrestricted access to other users, Library's & the such allow this service. Your dongle or card will let you see if the networks are security encripted (WEP) or open unsecured. A secured network requires a network key to be used, (an 8 or 20 digit number set by the owner)
You can only get free network access in a hotspot.
Or ask the owner of a nearby network if they would be kind enough to allow to use their network, you will need a security code from them.
Hope this helps, do have a nice day.
