Followed Best Solution by jarrelj and a little bit from searstechtoo and found a piece of velcro stuck in the pump. It's pretty tight back where the pump is located. Unless you are a contortionist you will need plyers to remove three spring clamps. (1) pipe from washing tub, (2) pipe to drain, (3) electrical housing on top of pump. You'll have one more electrical plug that pulls out easily. When you remove the first line from the washing tub make sure you put something to catch any remaining water in tub. I had a lot, small bucket didn't hold it. Lots od towels used. Very hard for me to get back together. Maybe I didn't have to take so much apart, but I needed to take the pump all the way out of the unit to even see what was in there.

I was able to solve my ND code issue by removing an object from the drain motor (a toothpick!):

Here's how to do it:

  1. Swivel the top of the washer back after inserting a flat head screwdriver into the left and right sides of the top of the washer (between top panel and front). You can determine where to put the screwdriver by looking under the rubber gasket at the front of the washer.
  2. Inside the front panel (at the top) there is a screw on the left and right side that must be removed in order to take off the front panel.
  3. Once the front panel is off, under the wash bowl, on the right side, you will see the drain hose which can be removed by using a screwdriver to loosen the clamp on one end and pliers to squeeze the clamp on the motor end to remove it.
  4. Once you've removed the hose from the motor, you can twist the motor to the right to take it off the mounting base.
  5. Use a screwdriver to open the flap to see if anything is inside the motor (like a toothpick!) or look into the motor through the end where you removed the hose.
  6. Remove the object and follow the directions in reverse to put it back together.
Good Luck!

Followed jarrelj's instructions. Found a 15" piece of rubber gasket (from the washer tub) in the drain line, partially entering into the pump. It had tied itself into a knot and formed the perfect plug! Fortunately I could just pull the piece free and reattach the drain line w/the clamp and be done.
15 min in and out thanks to jarrelj's steps. Thanks!

Nd = no drain. Either drain pump is clogged or defective. Too many suds can also cause this problem.

A "nd" code displayed,

How to fix a Samsung Washer nd washer error code. You can make this repair your self and in most cases without parts.
Let me explain what the nd on a Samsung washer control panel means exactly. The nd error code stands for No Drain.
When this washer error code comes up the washer will not spin either.

To fix this issue you will need to slide the unit forward to access the pump if there is no access panel on the lower front.
If the clean out access panel is on the lower front bail the water from the washer and twist the filter head counter-clockwise.
If the front panel does not have the access panel the washer will need to be slide forward.
With the washer pulled out the back access panel can be removed. With the panel removed, the drain pump will be visible.
Remove the two hoses on the pump followed by the two 7/16 bolts that mount the pump down. With the pump off, you can now remove the debris inside.

Put the washer back together and test for proper operation.
If the error code comes back this means that the pump is clogged again or the pump has failed and would need to be replaced

I am getting code nd on my maytag neptune washer. how can i fix?

ND code is "no drain" the washer probably has a drain plug/filter on the main pump, more than likely all you need to do is clear debris from the pump.

What does the code nd stand for?

this is a no drain error or slow drain issue you need to check for anything that would or is restricting the water from draining out of the tub.
if the water will not srin then you can use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose to remove the water.
then check all your hose to and from the drain pump
