Malfunctioning pixel color on a ViewSonic VS2000s

Groups of pixels on one of my VS2000s LCD monitors are intermitently displaying only purple or green, while the rest of the screen appears to be correct. The exact pixels that are showing this behavior seem to change over time, but the general grouping seem to stay fairly constant.

Pixel Ratio is just a parameter Measured to Produce Good Quality Display with Fine details so Do not Mix up with Resolution and Pixel ratio.

Use the Resolution that best sutes the Application you use(which may change with time to time based on applications you use)
Keep a standard Resolution 1024 x768,or which ever suits your Vision.

Dont be concerned about the Parameters and get mixed up.

Screen goes black or pixelates

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Acer monitor has green lines on the scren

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens use less energy and display a clearer picture than the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays that preceded them. These new LCD screens now dominate the computer monitor market. From time to time, however, pixels can become stuck and a green line can display on the screen. Removing this line is sometimes possible without sending the screen to the manufacturer for expensive repair.

Locate the pixels that are stuck on the screen. Download a free screen repair software program, such as UD Pixel or JScreenFix. Run the software and allow it to find and attempt to repair the stuck pixels. Turn off the LCD monitor. Apply the damp cloth directly over the stuck pixels and use a gentle pressure to spread the liquid within the screen.

What does it mean by dead cells?

I assume this is related to your LCD monitor.
I think you mean dead pixels. The LCD monitor has tiny pixel elements, one for each red, blue, green color and each one of these colored pixels are turnes on by a transistor. When a transistor fails then the colored pixel it controls does not light up. This is a dead pixel and it shows up as a tiny black dot.
If the screen displays a blue screen, a dead blue pixel will appear as a tiny black dot in the blue screen.
You normally would not notice a few dead pixels unless they are grouped together.

How to solved Death pixel for lcd monitor

Once pixels go bad, there is no way to replace them. The monitor would have to be replaced once enough of the pixels go bad where its affecting the picture quality heavily.

3 pixel wide stripe on lcd

Hi Casey,

If the problem is getting worse, than either the pixels are dying (so to speak) or you might have a problem with the monitor's screen.

Unfortunately, if either of the above are true, then the only way to fix it would be to replace the screen, which can be quite expensive. If you agree that this is the problem then you'd be better off getting a new monitor instead of spending money to get it repaired.

Good Luck.

Lcd tv with wrong color on one pixel

LCD screens occasionally have what are called "Stuck pixels". There is a tutorial in wikihow which might help you out here:

Try that and see if it helps. Stuck pixels are actually a slighty common problem.
