How do I get to my Bissell ProHheat 2x 9500 water heater to clean it? I've cleaned the front nozzles but just can't figure out how to get the bottom open so I can reach the heater. Thank you!

Testimonial: "Thank You! I appreciate your time. However, my Bissell ProHeat 9500 2X has the water heater on the bottom not on the handle. I did finally opened it and cleaned the water heater, which was not dirty and cleaned all the lines. After putting everything back, I then found out/figured out that the water tank gasket was the problem. As soon as I get the part I'll see if that does it. :-)"

its probably a solenoid that controls the flow to the floor, take it to a bissell repair center, because its not an easy fix.

SOURCE: bissell 2x wont **** up the dirty water

My machine would not **** up the dirty water either. I tried everything, read the "troubleshotting" section in the manual and nothing worked. Then I discovered there is a little FILTER that is not mentioned anywhere and is hard to see. It was clogged with dog hair. It is in one of the two removable sections on the top of the machine. It is NOT in the bladder section but the section with the dial to switch from floor to tool. It is red and about 1 inch long. There is a little door on it that you flip open (it actually looks like you can remove it). Flip the little door open and you will probably find a bunch of gunk. Remove it and the machine should work perfectly. Mine now does! Good luck.

SOURCE: bissell 9500 2x deep clean (NO SUCTION)

Like everyone else (!) your lint filter is probably clogged. It is located on the top clear palstic section (the one with the dial to switch from tool to floor use) and is on the underside. It is a small (1 inch square) red plastic filter with a little door on it. Flip the door open and you will probably find it is clogged with hair, carpet fibre., etc.. Clean it out and you should have suction again.

Ensure you have water in tank and solution (or water in solution tank). When you start the vacuum up, the pump starts to prime itself. If you have air in the system, it takes a little longer to prime. Allow the vacuum to run for 1 minute before attempting to pull the trigger. Then pull the trigger.

If this doesn't work, you'll need to open the unit up and check the hoses for any clogs, and next test the pump to see if it is functioning.

If your machine continues to not spray, please take it to a BISSELL Authorized Service Center for warranty repairs. If you are experiencing difficulties other than no spray, the technician will let you know the cost for those repairs if your machine is outside of the one year warranty timeframe. One pointer that can help between uses is running water through the lines. First, put clean water in both tanks and set your unit to the heavy traffic setting for one pass. This will flush out any cleaning formula in the lines so your spray tips won't get build-up between uses, which can lead to a lack of dispensing the cleaning formula.

Bissell Proheat 2x. The pump wont prime. The water is full and the tanks are sealed. Second time we hace used it.

I had the same problem. I took the whole thing apart and cleaned all the lines, water heater, brushes, etc. After putting it together the tools sprayed great and the side sprayers but the water tank would not allow the water out. THEN I saw this. http://www.bissell.com/FAQDetail.aspx?id=1122 and I was finally able to figure it out. So what I found out was that the water tank gasket was damage. lol
