I recently bourgt a sony dsc-w55, and when i switch the camera off, a light flashes underneath the power button and sometimes when this happens i can only turn it back on by using the display button and not the power button, but this flashing is continous when the camera is switched off resulting in the battery completely running flat and i cant turn the camera on at all..... i have been through the process of re-charging the battery many times, but the same thing happens over and over again.
i have spoken to the techincal team of where i purchased the camera and they were extremely unhelpful.... so any suggestions would be gratefully received
thanks

Re:
Sony Technical support may elicit more information
I suspect the it is a circuit fault- which will mean a replacement camera or repair offer- which will be costly.
Unless the camera is less than a year old in which case the seller is obliged to replace it.
