My camera fell out of my jacket pocket and landed on stone. Now it seems to still work fine but the LCD is white. I've removed the memory card and the battery but it doesn't fix the problem. If I hook it up to my computer they will communicate and I can transfer pictures. The camera seems to be working normally except for the lack of picture on the LCD. Is there a master reset that I can do? or is there software that will fix this? I'd really appreciate any ideas before I send it off to be repaired. Thanks everyone.
Your CCD is likely to be defected and the only thing you need to do is replace it many are covered in a huge CCD recall, I dont know if yours is covered or not. try contacting Olympus

i get the same thing...but without any provocation. it just decided to whiteout on me one day
LCD is white, I can take pictures and upload them to my PC but can not see anything in my display. 1 2 or made 3 shots before I get the right position of the image. Without the LCD I can not see or delete, or use any real functions. I've removed the battery and memory card, no change.
The same thing happened to my camera. I took a picture and then turned the dial to view the picture and all of a sudden the screen turned white. It surely sucks being that it is a few days before Christmas
I have the same problem. I took several pictures one evening and the next morning turned the camera on the the LCD was white. I can still connect and up load pictures to my PC, just can't view anything on the LCD which means I can not control any real functions. Merry Christmas Olympus.
