Can't find anything on a Vivitar 3710 their site only shows 3713,3715 and 3720 but No 3710 are you sure this model number is correct ??? have a look on the Vivitar site at http://www.vivitar.com/en-us/Support.aspx
yea I find that happens with me also. I think it boils down to the battery. One thing I noticed with this camera is that the battery life is not long, it uses alot of power. But also, if the camera is inactive for a certain time, it will switch off - and I think that is one of them "power-saves".
