Question about Lutron #D-600PH-DK 600W SP Push Rotating Dimmer
I just installed a Leviton touch dimmer for my dining room chandelier. Now whenever I turn the light on there is an annoying humming sound coming from the switch area. How can I get rid of the hum?
You'll need to install an electronic dimmer, like a Maestro. Otherwise, you'll have to live with the hum.

Unfortunately, the hum is normal for operation of that type of dimmer at low levels. Sometimes the lamp filaments will also "sing" a high pitched sound.
