Well Ultrasurf obviously does not want to work with your internet connection (like mine)

For now you need to remove Ultrasurf. Go to Tools>>Add-ons>>UltraSurf Firefox Tool>>Disable OR Uninstall.

That should at least get your internet working...

As for a working proxy, try using a "Web based proxy"

Google it.

Thanks,
Ted

    Oops! Sorry my answer was wrong! Since then I've discovered how to use the UltraSurf add-on.

    As I posted in another topic:

    "
    PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!

    Sorry, but obviously I did NOT know how to use the UltraSurf add-on. I feel like an idiot. Well, here's how:

    1. Ensure you have the Firefox UltraSurf add-on installed.
    2. Go tohttp://ultrareach.com to get UltraSurf, download the latest version.
    3. Open UltraSurf and internet explorer will open. Close internet explorer.
    4. In UltraSurf, go to "Options" and select "Do not use IE" and "Hide Golden Lock"
    5. Restart UltraSurf.
    6.
    Go to Firefox (With UltraSurf ON) and click on WJ Disabled and it will
    become WJ Enabled. Voila! (BTW If there is no WJ Disabled, look for a
    grayed out icon, when you click it, it will become visible.

    Enjoy surfing in anonymity!

Hola someone tell me how to change up into proxy server help.

What is your default browser? Settings for using a Proxy server differs from each browser. For example, The settings for Mozilla Firefox browser are as follows,
  1. Click Tools->Options;
  2. "General", "Connection Settings";
  3. Select "Manual Proxy Configuration";
  4. Enter proxy IP and port to appropriate fields;
  5. Click OK to close Connection Settings;
  6. Click OK to close Options;
  7. Reload browser.
You must also be aware that the use of proxy servers without the express permission from the owner of the proxy server may be illegal in some states and/or countries. Use at your own risk.
Using a Proxy server masks your real IP address with a masked IP address. You can ensure this by visiting www.IP-Details.Com and check your IP before and after using a Proxy server.

Laptop explorer proxy server automatically jump to 127.0.0.1: 9666, used UltraSurf 2 times

Sounds like Ultrasurf is resetting your proxy settings every time you reboot. Completely uninstall Ultrasurf, using their recommended procedures.

Connection was refused when attempted to connect the proxy server

You can follow some tips when you make the changes in the proxy settings in Firefox. Obtaining your IP address is very important, and make sure that you are not giving the IP address to outsiders. Follow the instructions carefully; this will help you to make an easy change in the settings. And after the changes, you would be using the 'Manual Proxy Connection', so your details are not shared or traced by anyone on the net. To change the setting to direct connection, turn off the proxy and restart the settings. Now, you can make changes to the proxy setting. This feature in Firefox has enabled many Firefox users to have a safe and secure browsing.

Firefox server refused connection .how do I check if my browser proxy configuration is correct

1. Open Firefox
2. Go to Tools then Options
3. Open the Advanced Tab
4. Look where it says Connection and Open settings.
5. Adjust your settings as desired. (If you are hard wired I would just use no proxy).

If you have any other questions please ask.

Proxy Server Refused Connection Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. ...

If you're using Firefox, click on "Tools" at the top of the page, click on "Options" which is at the bottom of the list that comes up, then click Advanced, choose Network from the four tabs below that. There should be a sentence "configure how Firefox connects to the Internet". Click on the button next to it that says "settings". and make sure that "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network" has a dot in the little circle. If not, click on it and click on OK.
You may have to shut down Firefox (your internet browser programme), then try getting in again. Should have sorted it.
