LG EnV vx9900 won't transfer pictures using usb cable

I recently got the "music essentials" kit for my EnV and the music aspect works fine, but I can't seem to transfer pictures from my phone to my pc. Everytime I try the "import pictures" option, it says there are no new pictures or videos, but I can see them on the phone. Please help! Thanks:)

how do i upload my pix from my lg env9900?

  • Anonymous Sep 02, 2008

Same problem here. I have pics saved to both the card and internal memory. Only music will transfer. Those of you offering solutions like "are you sure you saved it to the card", have you actually tried transfering pics from the VX9900, or are you basing your suggestions on other phones?

Since no one has answered this yet and I found a solution, I minus well help the people out there. This is how I do it:
1) go to menu
2) go to tools
3) go to USB Mass Storage
This will allow your computer to recognize your phone/card and will open it. I highly recommend transferring all your photos and video to your card instead of your phone memory. This is how you transfer it from your phone to your card:
1) go to menu
2) go to settings
3) go to memory
from here you can gain access to what is on your phone memory and your card memory. From this you can edit where you want to save your pics/videos/sounds to (either phone or card memory) and transfer your media files from your phone to your card or vise versa.

Good luck and I hope this helped you all.

I was able to copy picture and video files from my LG EnV (VX9900) to my PC using the Bluetooth file transfer function.

Anybody know of a way to transfer video from the lg env? I've tried just connecting via the usb cable, and it doesn't work. Putting the SD card in my laptop results in 'Drive not Formatted' message. Yet, there are songs, pics, and videos on the card which do play on the phone.

Check that your saving your pics to your sd card rather than the internal memory. Might help???

How do I transfer music to my env touch from my computer?

Rocker, You got to connect the phone to the computer. Use a USB cable or use the BlueTooth. If using the USB cable you can select the phone to be used as Mass Storage device. Then it will be shown as an additional disk in My Computer. Use it like any other drive to copy anything to and fro. If using the BT, then you will have to used the SW given by LG on a CD. Install it and run it. Connect the phone via the BT and carryout very many functions that are possible with the SW.

I just bought a memory card for my LG EnV & it came with two adapters. how do you put music from your computer onto your EnV?

You can use it in a printer that takes memory cards but you cannot download a lot of songs that way. The best thing to do is buy a music essentials kit. If you have a 512 mb card, you can get at least 100 songs.

MTP Device Searching Preconfigured Driver Folders

I was having this problem as well, but solved it.
I, like others decided to just buy a USB cable for my VX9900 and use Windows Media Player for sync'ing. (I also have the Verizon Essentials program that I downloaded, but I like WMP better. No particular reason).
I was getting the installation messages and as soon as the MTP message came up, I got the "problem" message and it didn't sync.
What I did when I got the cable was to run the CD drivers that came with my cable. That may have been my mistake. I was bothered that the date of my driver was in 2005 since the phone came out late in 2006. So I looked at the name of the driver and it was something like C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\LGUSBDriver.xxx whatever... I went to my device manager and uninstalled the driver. I went to the C:\Program Files\ and deleted the LG USBDrivers folder. I went to the Windows/system32/drivers folder and there were three LG*.* files I deleted them. The next time I plugged the phone in and set it to sync, it worked. It's late and night and I may not have typed this really clearly, so feel free to contact me at bill (at) halfamind.com (because a half a mind is still a terrible thing to waste).

Need Driver for USB Cable

You can obtain the driver from the music essentials kit cd....you may be able to obtain it from other resources however.....i would suggest a google search for verizon env vx9900 usb driver....also you will want this driver in place before plugging up your phone in order to avoid any other issues that might arise.
