I made all configurations that I can think of, and cannot make the ftp to work. I created a ddns to avoid IP changing by ISP, I opened the ports in my router, port 21 in port fowarding, Still getting message windows cannot connect, conection refused, timeout, etc...
Regarding upnp: I use through a ps3 system. It recognizes thestorage, it shows the folders, however it does not show all folders that are inside the main folder. Example: I have a main folder called Photos, and inside I have all photos divided into smaller folders: aniverssary, trip, business meeting, products, etc...The ps3 shows only 3 folders where it should show more than 30 smaller folders that are inside themain folder Photos.
I have the same issues with sub-folders not showing up in the Linksys NMH410.I have the same issues with sub-folders not showing up in the Linksys NMH410.
I am able to connect using FTP and then it says "entering passive mode" and then it says connection time out. The funny thing is that the server was working fine one day and then it stopped working the next. Haven't been able to figure it out.
As for the missing folders for the PS3, have you tried refreshing the UPnP server in the advanced tab? How often do you have it set to refresh? This might not be the solution to that problem but have a look.I am able to connect using FTP and then it says "entering passive mode" and then it says connection time out. 1. Login to your DNS-323 in the same network
2. Make sure FTP is turned on and a user is configured to perform FTP to it
3. Ftp to your DNS-323 using the admin account
If this still does not work, read up on Fonz's fun_plug application and install it. This should let you access the linux firmware in the 323 for troubleshooting. Be aware that you need to know linux before you attempt to do this as you may brick your 323 if you are not careful.

I had the same problem when I was attempting to map the drive using the hostname of the DNS-323. I solved the problem by typing in the IP address instead. Do the following:
1. Login to the DNS-323 as admin
2. Make sure you use static IP's to make sure that the address does not change in the future.
3. Go to the drive mapping page and use IP address instead of hostname in the drive mapping (e.g. \\192.168.1.1\Volume_1)
4. Make sure you use a valid username and password.
5. Check the connection configuration by clicking on the Test button.
You should get a successful outcome, otherwise check all the settings again until you are successful
The new firmware already has bit-torrent capabilities built into it. Please do the following:
1. Download the latest firmware from D-Link website
2. Save your configuration in case there are any problems
3. Upgrade firmware from the DNS-323 menu
I did this with a cctv and another dns server and does not really work. So i just change my ip to static and open ports 80 and 443 and 8000 (server) and worked fine without using ddns or free dns. Oh and i use this to check my ports if they are working
I have given a ref. configuration for you. If you could provide me the debug results it would be great to help you.
set dns ddns
set dns ddns id 1 server-type dyndns clear-text
set dns ddns id 1 username USERNAME password PASSWORD
set dns ddns id 1 src-interface untrust host-name HOSTNAME.dyndns.org
set dns ddns enable
Dynamic DNS (Domain Name Service) is a method of keeping a domain name linked to a changing (dynamic) IP address. With most Cable and DSL connections, you are assigned a dynamic IP address and that address is used only for the duration of that specific connection. To properly configure the DDNS feature follow the steps below:
Step 1 Log into the web based configuration by typing in the IP address of the router (default:192.168.0.1) in your web browser. The username is admin (all lowercase) and the password is blank (nothing).
Step 2 Click on the Tools tab and then click Misc. If you have the DI-614+ with firmware 2.30, click on Tools > Parental Control.
Step 3 Enter the required information under Dynamic DNS:
Server Address: Enter the IP Address or domain name of your DDNS server (IE members.dyndns.org).
Host Name: Enter the Domain name that you registered with your DDNS service provider, (IE mydomain.dyndns.org).
Username
Password
Step 4 Click Apply and then Continue to save your changes.
