Two things that you need to check: Make sure that the outlet the dehumidifier is plugged int, is in fact working. The circuit breaker for that outlet may be tripped or there may be a loose or damaged wire connection to the one of the outlet's terminals. I assume you are turning the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON of the dehumidifier, after you plugged the unit in and set the humidity extraction level below 40%?
Check the outlet that the unit is plugged into, to make sure that it has power. The circuit breaker for that outlet may have been tripped. Also make sure that the outlet is not damaged inside or there could be a loose wire connection or a frayed wire to the outlet.
Hope this helped you to start troubleshooting and solving the problem.
After all that testing you have diagnosed the problem. It is the main circuit board. So there is not reason to do any more test. I would just get a new control board and off you go

Hi, Thanks qrx1llb3 for the help! After carefully removing the plastic covers (yes, u need to remove both, I removed first the back one then the front one by pulling up, then disconnect the cable that joins the panel on the front cover with the electronic board on the upper right area) I found the electronic board with the blown up fuse. My was under a blue plastic cover. I'll try to replace it and see what happens! thanks for the help! :)
The Comfort-Aire crapped out again! We started the season with a little 17-pint Sears, but it wasn't cutting the mustard getting the accumulated moisture out of the cellar, so we fired up the Comfort-Aire 65-pint machine. It got the humidity down to 50% pronto, and kept it there for the better part of a week when all of a sudden it quit. Died! Nothing! Not a glimmer in the control panel, and pushing the buttons did absolutely nothing. Unplugging it and plugging it in again produced a faint "chirp" but that was all. Naturally, the thing is weeks out of warranty. Without the warranty, the nearest service place wants a $60 "consultation fee" just to look at it, so I decided to see if I could fix it myself before seeking professional aid.
After getting an exploaded view of the machine from the web, I removed the collection bucket, the filter, and the two screws from under the plastic front cover. In addition to the two screws, the cover is held by little tabs that fit into notches in the steel sides. To get the plastic cover off, I slid a wooden popsicle stick under the plastic, thus stretching the plastic enough to get the tabs out of their holes without scratchng the unit.
The front cover is tethered to the unit by a cable attached to a circuit board which forms the back of the push-button control panel. On one side of this circuit board there is a row of 14 soldered connections. They are very close together, and any conductive contaminent that gathers between them is guaranteed to short them out. That's apparently what happened to mine, for scraping between them with a toothpick, and cleaning them with a toothbrush brought the unit back to life again. That's all it took to repair my Comfort-Aire. The plastic cover snaps back in place easily.
You have to remove the entire wrapper to get to the control circuit board, make sure you unplug unit!! Locate the small white wires that plug into the board and go to the humidity switch.Unplug the connector at the board and plug the machine in and see if everything runs. ps make sure you reinstall the bucket or unit will not run. If machine runs replace that humidity control. The plug on the board is usually white. The other white wire is 4 the light. I hope this helps./
This reply does not solve the problem, however my MAYTAG M7DH
45B2A DEHUMIDIFIER had the same problem.
Circuit Board COR 268BV1.O had circuits burned (on lower side of
board). The circuits that showed signs of arching were the right end
of D1, D 2, D3, D4, and at C2, C3, C4, C5, J1, O1,.
Apparently water must have entered the area and shorted these circuits. But I do not know. The only alternative is to replace circuit
board or junk it
