Question about Canon PIXMA MP810 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Transparency copy problem

Hi, This is my first weekend with my new MP810 . I have found it to be better than expected in all areas except one (and the problem is probably my lack of understanding anyway). I cannot get anything other than 'negatives' from my attempts to copy - as per ther handbook- 35 mm transparencies. Everything is reproduced in shades of blue and black and quite useless. What am I doing wrong or is it a possible glitch with the machine? Thanks for any help. Mike

The setting should go something like this- Colour reflective Black and white reflective Colour Negative. Colour Transparency. Black and white negative. Some scanners automatically sense and switch to what is loaded - others need setting up. So check thoroughly all the settings in conjunction with the manual[A full manual in PDF format is usually on the software disk. Then come back

I am pleased you said 'read the 'manual [more carefully]'

Some folk only read the manual when all else fails
And others I have noticed have said on here 'Oh that! I threw it away with the packaging.
    So well done!

My MP810 won't print or scan in black. Colors work fine. I replace the large ink cartridge and ran the clean print nozzle cycle, but still won't deliver black ink. gmg

do you mean it won't print black, leave the scanning in black out of it, i think you will probably need a new printhead, if this is the first time with this type of error, count yourself lucky that the printhead lasted as long as it did. when replaced you will find all works well.

Canon mp810 is not printing correctly

Brand new cartridge or refilled one? If refilled cartridge, just wait for 30 minutes after refilling and use good quality of ink. It's caused by bad ink flow. While ink spray (bubbling) form head, ink at ink tank not flow to head.

How do I remove the print head from my Canon MP810 printer for a clean? :o)

I just replaced my MP810 printer head. Procedure: open printer - remove ink cartridges - Pick up arm located on right side of cartridge holder- remove printer head by picking up by the cartridge slots. Place new printer head in holder - replace printer cartridges - press arm down and your done....However, the error message stays on and reset procedure doesn't remove it. Canon tech support said their solution (because of distance from canon support) is to replace MP810 with comparable printer, which came to $299 with 15% discount and free shipping. My solution, I’m checking out other printers.

The kids' iPod speaker wires got lodged in my Pixma MP810.

Here's a link to a download, but it's not a free site, states the manual is $6 - might be money well spent? I will try to look for a free download in the meantime...

Hi my name is Allen!
Check the related wiring for frayed areas that may be making contact with the metal area of the vehicle. If there are no problems found with the wiring then the wiper motor is the most probable cause for fuses to blow. If you need further asistance you may contact me through FixYa!

Canon PIXMA MP810 All-in-One

and Hello,

Appreciate the update.

Re rob_a.sys and rob_v.sys - they were for your Pinnacle PCTV Pro TV capture card. There are updated versions that works with XP and if I remember right, you I suggested for you to search where you can find the updated versions, download and try it they will likewise work with Vista.

Re Canon PIXMA MP810 All-in-One - try deleting it in your Printers and Faxes. Thereafter pls try the "New/Add Hardware" in your Control Panel rather than the "Add a Printer".

Cheers.
