This is my first weekend with my new MP810 . I have found it to be better than expected in all areas except one (and the problem is probably my lack of understanding anyway).
I cannot get anything other than 'negatives' from my attempts to copy - as per ther handbook- 35 mm transparencies. Everything is reproduced in shades of blue and black and quite useless.
What am I doing wrong or is it a possible glitch with the machine?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Transparency copy problem
The setting should go something like this-
Black and white reflective
Black and white negative.
Some scanners automatically sense and switch to what is loaded - others need setting up.
So check thoroughly all the settings in conjunction with the manual[A full manual in PDF format is usually on the software disk.

Firstly, make sure that you have copier safe transparencies.
Then follow the instructions below, except choose transparency instead of envelopes/labels. and make sure you choose the correct type from the print driver as well. They must match for it to pull the paper in. How To Print on Envelopes or Labels on Sharp Printer
I have same printer (Laserjet P2015D) with light print brand new and banding and shadows on solid areas. Tech support at HP has ruled out that the new cartridge needed breaking in (15-30 copies). They are now saying it could be a fuser issue and since the machine is brand new I should exchange it at the retail store. Disappointing because box stated it was mfg in Japan and I was expecting better.
First of all, are you working with a laser printer or inkjet? if it is laser make sure that you have the correct transparency, IT MUST BE HEAT RESISTANT! if it is not,u'll end up buying a new fuser unit. then...
1. Put the transparency in your MP tray 2. When selecting "print" click on properties and select your MP tray as your source, 3. Select Transparency for you media type.
after doing this you will be able to print your transparencies.
Re rob_a.sys and rob_v.sys - they were for your Pinnacle PCTV Pro TV capture card. There are updated versions that works with XP and if I remember right, you I suggested for you to search where you can find the updated versions, download and try it they will likewise work with Vista.
Re Canon PIXMA MP810 All-in-One - try deleting it in your Printers and Faxes. Thereafter pls try the "New/Add Hardware" in your Control Panel rather than the "Add a Printer".
