RCA- RCU 500 model universal remote has Sylvania TV coded with. The codes are:

006,007,010,011,013,016,027,
033,035,043,049,066,087,089
Programming method

[1] Press the button of the device you want to
control (for example TV).

[2] If the device turns on, press another button,
to confirm (for example CHANNEL UP)

[3] If the device you selected (TV) responds,

you will not need to program the remote.

If the device you selected (TV) does

not respond, you will need to program
the remote
There are very rare RCA remotes, with Sylvania TV can be programmed. Just try the above codes with your present RCA remote control. If it does not help, buy the above model RCA universal remote. You will get code list and all other related documents, how to programme it or so, with the device you do purchase. OK.

Programming a Device using Code Search:

1. Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
3. Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
4. Release CODE SEARCH.
5. Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
6. Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
7. With the device on, press any other button.

If the device responds, no further programming is required.

If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

find the correct code automatically.Turn on your device.
while pressing SET botton press POWER, and release them ,then press CH+,then release it
Then press POWER repeatedly untill your device responds.don't go too fast.
When it responds press ENTER to store the code.

behind your screen is an ir reciver it may came loose it goes to your signal board

I have no clue what your trouble is unless you respond to the origional post each time. can you let me know what your symptoms and or trouble was and I will try and assist you.

If the batteries were replaced then it forgot the code you put in. You may find it here at the RCA site.
